The present disclosure describes a supply fan assembly including a controller, a memory operably coupled with the controller. The supply fan assembly further includes at least one environment sensor operably coupled with the controller and a fan supplying fresh air from an exterior environment into a structure according to instructions from the controller. Additionally, the operational data is generated by the at least one of the environment sensor and the controller, and the controller instructs the fan in response to the operational data generated during a pre-defined time period.

System and method for integrated control of supply fan

The present relates to a seal for an energy recovery wheel. The seal comprises a main body defining an inner surface, and a pair of lateral walls extending from each lateral side of the main body. Each lateral wall respectively comprises a free edge defining a lip. The inner surface and lateral walls define a space therebetween. The seal provides for air travelling from one section of the energy recovery wheel to another to turbulate within the space. The inner surface is generally flat and the space may comprise a cavity. The lateral walls may be flexible or rigid. The present also relates to a combination of the seal with the energy recovery wheel.

Various systems and apparati as well as devices and structures are provided which may be used or incorporated into air handling systems (e.g. (air) ventilation systems and apparati) for the manipulation or control of air in a enclosure such as a building, a room of a structure such as a residence, and the like. Such air handling systems (e.g. ventilation apparati or systems) may for example include an element for the transfer of heat from warm exhaust air (taken from inside an enclosure e.g. a building) to cooler exterior fresh air (drawn into the enclosure e.g. building). The present invention further relates to air handling systems (e.g. ventilation systems and apparati) which may not only exhaust stale interior air to the outside of an enclosure but as desired or necessary also intermingle a portion of such stale air with fresh air for delivery of the intermingled air back into the enclosure (during cold or warm weather). The present invention in particular relates to air handling systems (e.g. ventilation systems and apparati) which may exploit warm interior air as defrost air for defrosting the system during cool weather.

An air handling system for an indoor space comprising a first forced indoor air treatment component, an input indoor air duct element and an output treated air duct element respectively coupling said first forced indoor air treatment component to said indoor space, a second forced air treatment component a stale air duct element coupled to said second forced air treatment component and to said input indoor air duct, a return air duct element coupling said second forced air treatment component to said output treated air duct element characterized in that said system comprises a secondary air path means for coupling said return air duct element to said input indoor air duct element.

The present invention in particular provides an apparatus whereby, during a defrost cycle, interior air may circulate through both of the fresh air and exhaust air paths for delivery back into the building, i.e. the warm interior air, used as defrost air, may be able to circulate from the interior of the building into the ventilation apparatus and back to the interior of the building. The apparatus can thus use interior air as defrost air while diminishing or avoiding the creation of a negative air pressure in the building.
