Example embodiments relate to movable lens luminaires. One example luminaire head includes a first support that includes a plurality of light sources. The luminaire head also includes a second support that includes a plurality of lens elements associated with the plurality of light sources. A lens element of the plurality of lens elements has an internal surface facing a light source of the plurality of light sources and an external surface. Further, the luminaire head includes a moving means configured to move the second support with respect to the first support, such that a position of the plurality of lens elements geometrically projected on a surface of the first support is changed. The lens element has a varying profile seen in a movement direction of the moving means. The lens element includes a prismatic portion, a collimator portion, or a diffusor portion.

Moveable lens luminaire

Example embodiments relate to light system with anti-parallel LEDs. One example light system includes a driver configured to generate a DC current. The light system also includes at least one first group, a first group thereof including a first and a second LED connected in anti-parallel. The light system also includes at least one second group, a second group thereof including a first and a second LED connected in anti-parallel. The at least one second group is connected in series with the at least one first group. Additionally, the light system includes control circuitry configured for selectively operating the first and second group in at least one first one and at least one second mode.

Light system with anti-parallel LEDs

Example embodiments relate to light systems with controllable branches of light elements. One example light system includes at least two parallel branches, each branch including a series connection of a plurality of light elements and a switching element. The at least two parallel branches are intended to share a common regulated current source configured for feeding the at least two parallel branches. The light system also includes a control module having a supply input line and at least two control output lights. The at least two control output lines are connected for controlling the switching elements of the at least two parallel branches. The control module optionally includes a galvanic isolation. The control module is configured for controlling the switching elements of the at least two parallel branches according to at least two different control schemes: a first control scheme and a second control scheme.

Light system with controllable branches of light elements

A luminaire head comprising: a first support comprising a plurality of light sources; a second support comprising a plurality of lens elements associated with the plurality of light sources; a moving means configured to move the second support with respect to the first support, such that the position of the plurality of lens elements geometrically projected on a surface of the first support is changed.

A lighting apparatus comprising: a support substrate; a plurality of subsets mounted on the support substrate, said plurality of subsets comprising at least a first subset having a plurality of LEDs and a second subset having at least one LED; a corresponding plurality of lens elements mounted such that each subset is covered by a lens element of the plurality of lens elements; wherein LEDs of the plurality of subsets are divided in a plurality of groups; wherein the plurality of groups comprises at least, a first group of LEDs comprising at least one LED of the first subset and at least one LED of the second subset, and a second group of LEDs comprising at least one LED of at least the first subset; a drive and control means configured to drive selectively the plurality of groups of LEDs wherein LEDs of the same group are driven simultaneously.
