Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for a scalable process for validating multiple paths used for routing network traffic in a network using segment routing. In one aspect, a method includes identifying, by a first network hop, one or more second network hops, for each of the one or more second network hops, determining a corresponding flow label, the corresponding flow label including a corresponding test packet for validating packet forwarding between the first network hop and a corresponding second network hop, and performing a validation process for validating packet forwarding from the first network hop to the corresponding second network hop using at least the corresponding flow label. The method further includes determining a queue of additional network hops to be validated based on a result of the validation process, and iteratively validating packet forwarding for each additional network hop in the queue.

Systems and methods for scalable validation of multiple paths in a network using segment routing

This technology enables prioritization of Multiple Stream Reservation Protocol ('MSRP') transmissions in Audio Video Bridging ('AVB') virtual local area networks (&#x201c;VLANs&#x201d;). An AVB switch receives a status from listener devices, associates a state with each of the statuses indicating whether each listener device is active or in-active, and stores each state in a database. For each listener device, a queue of MSRP protocol data unit (&#x201c;PDU&#x201d;) packets exists to be transmitted to the listener device. The AVB switch searches the database for listener devices with an active state, searches the queue for each active listener device for packets associated with an active state, and transmits the packets associated with the active state to each active listener device. Subsequently, the AVB switch searches each listener device's queue for packets associated with an in-active state and transmits the packets associated with an in-active state to each listener device.

Prioritized MSRP transmissions to reduce traffic interruptions

In one embodiment, a node in a communication network receives a label switched path (LSP) request and in response, the node determines at least two equal cost paths, each path having one or more path-nodes. The node may then further determine a total bandwidth-based transition value for each path of the at least two equal cost paths and selects the path having a lower total transition value. Once selected, the node may establish the requested LSP over the selected path.

Enhanced path selection scheme for equal cost paths in communication networks

In one embodiment, network devices are configured to route traffic and signaling onto co-routed bypass tunnels. Co-routed bypass tunnels protect against node or link failures in a label switched paths. The co-routed bypass tunnels provide bidirectional protection. In one example, a node acting as the point of local repair (PLR) receives a resource reservation state message at a first node and extracts a tunnel sender address from the reservation state message. The PLR is configured to identify a bypass tunnel to a second node in the reverse direction of the label switched path and signal resource reservation messages over the bypass tunnel in the reverse direction. In another example, a PLR receives a resource reservation message with bypass tunnel identification and the PLR is configured to identify a bypass tunnel to a second node in the reverse direction.

Fast reroute for bidirectional co-routed traffic engineering tunnels

The mechanism is used for rotating a tree-felling implement rotatably connected to a distal end of a boom of a logging vehicle by an implement pivot. The mechanism comprises a pinion coaxial with the implement pivot and fixed in rotation with reference to the distal end of the boom. Two longitudinally extending actuators are mounted on the frame. Both actuators are lying in the pinion plane. Each actuator is adjacent to the pinion on a respective side thereof, namely right and left, and bears a corresponding sprocket coplanar with the pinion plane and rotatably connected to their free end. To link the elements together, there is provided a chain in mesh with the sprockets and the pinion. The chain has ends rigidly attached to the frame of the implement. In use, the implement is rotated as the actuators are operated in opposite directions. The mechanism provides a simple and reliable construction for rotating a tree-felling implement that is capable of rotating the implement with reference to the boom plane in both directions and according to a wide range of angles.

Mechanism for rotating a tree-felling implement and tree-felling

The mechanism is used for rotating a tree-felling implement rotatably connected to a distal end of a boom of a logging vehicle by an implement pivot. The mechanism comprises a first arc-shaped member that extends in a plane perpendicular to the boom plane and is convex with reference to the implement pivot. The first member has a first end rotatably connected to the frame of the implement at a given distance from the implement pivot. A second arc-shaped member, coplanar with the first member, is also convex with reference to the implement pivot. The second member has a first end rotatably connected to the second end of the first member for defining an intermediary junction, and a second end rotatably connected to the distal end of the boom. A hydraulic actuator is mounted on the frame of the implement and has an end rotatably connected to or adjacent to the intermediary junction for rotating the implement during operation of the actuator. The mechanism provides a simple and reliable construction for rotating a tree-felling implement that is capable of rotating the implement with reference to the boom plane in both directions and according to a wide range of angles.

The mechanism is used for rotating a tree-felling implement rotatably mounted with a pivot to the distal end of the boom of a logging vehicle. The mechanism, the tree-felling implement, the boom and the logging vehicle form a tree-felling machine controlled by an operator and used on logging sites. The mechanism has a pinion coaxial with the implement pivot and fixed in rotation with reference to the distal end of the boom. An arc-shaped rack is rotatably mounted on the frame of the implement by a rack pivot in spaced relationship with the pinion. The rack is in mesh with the pinion and hydraulic actuators are provided on the frame of the implement for swaying the rack and thereby rotating the implement with reference to the boom. Such mechanism is capable of rotating the tree-felling implement with reference to the boom plane in both directions and according to a much wider range angle than the prior art mechanisms.
