A tire comprising an airtight rubber cover () and a reinforcing structure essentially formed of a plurality of fibers () embedded in the rubber and arranged in layers, this reinforcing structure comprising at least one carcass layer () and one crown layer (). The fibers () and () of these layers () are connected together and oriented, with respect to the median plane (P) of the tire, at respective angles of the order of 90 degrees and 0 degrees, each of these fibers () also having a connected cross section of flattened shape.

A passenger vehicle tire, the crown reinforcement of which has three distinct elements, the three distinct elements comprising: a radial carcass reinforcement formed of reinforcing elements connecting the two beads of the tire, a crown belt comprising reinforcing elements parallel to the circumferential direction of the tire, and a crown triangulation layer comprising reinforcing elements making an angle of between 10 degrees and 80 degrees with the circumferential direction of the tire, the reinforcing elements of the triangulation layer having a flattened cross section.

A rolling assembly includes a rim and a unit that can be slid axially onto and off the rim. The unit includes the tire and a collar on which the tire is mounted. The collar includes opposite collar hooks interconnected by a reinforced central portion of the collar. The hooks receive respective tire beads. When the tire is at reduced pressure, the unit can be inserted onto the rim. Upon inflation of the tire, a blocking portion of the tire enters a groove of the rim to axially lock the tire onto the rim.

The invention relates to a suspension device ( ) intended to connect a wheel carrier ( ) to a body ( ) of a vehicle, the device having means ( ) conferring to the wheel carrier, with respect to the body, a degree of camber freedom and a degree of suspension deflection freedom substantially independent of one another. The said means comprises an intermediate support ( ) linking the wheel carrier to the body, the intermediate support being, on the one hand, articulated with respect to the body along a substantially vertical first axis (ASI) and, on the other hand, articulated to the wheel carrier along a second axis (R R ), so that a rotation of the intermediate support about the first axis permits the degree of camber freedom.

Suspension device permitting camber

An assembly of a rim and a closed toroidal tire. The tire includes a tire casing and a ring, defining a tight chamber. The ring provides a mounting base on the rim and forms a sleeve designed to rest on said rim in mounting position. The ring includes a protuberance having a locking surface, intended to be engaged in a complementary groove arranged on the rim in order to oppose any relative movement between tire and rim axially in at least one direction. The ring has such a degree of flexibility that a pressure reduction of the chamber causes a displacement of said protuberance toward a larger radius. The tire can, for example, be fitted on the rim, and then the vacuum can be eliminated so that the protuberance will be engaged in the groove.

Simplification of mounting and demounting of a tire on and off its rim

The continuous mixing apparatus for preparing a rubber composition has a mixing chamber accommodating at least one rotor rotating in a stator and extending between an upstream end and a downstream end between which the material progressively passes. The base elastomers are introduced at the upstream end of the mixing chamber by means of volumetric pumps capable of delivering the said base polymers under pressure. It has members for the dosaging and forced introduction of the other components, to arranged along the mixing chamber at at least two longitudinally separated positions between the upstream end and the downstream end.

Method for continuous mixing of rubber

The pump includes two pistons 10 each sliding in a cylinder 11. These are fed by a screw 21 through ports 12. Upon delivery, a rotary valve 6 turning in a bearing 1A2 in succession closes off and uncovers the passages 1A1 from the cylinders. This rotary valve 6 includes an axial bore 61 and a slot 62 through which the material collected from the cylinders passes in the direction of the outlet orifice of the pump.

The continuous mixing apparatus for preparing a rubber composition has a mixing chamber accommodating at least one rotor rotating in a stator and extending between an upstream end and a downstream end between which the material progressively passes. The base elastomers are introduced at the upstream end of the mixing chamber by means of volumetric pumps capable of delivering the said base polymers under pressure. It has members for the dosaging and forced introduction of the other components, arranged along the mixing chamber at at least two longitudinally separated positions between the upstream end and the downstream end.

A rotary plug 1 has recesses 5 debouching on its side face 12 which are in communication with the inlet 6 and recesses 5 debouching on its side face 13 which are in communication with the outlet 7. These recesses 5 pass across a port 4 which permits passage to and from a unit consisting of cylinder 2 and piston 3.

The dosaging device comprises a dosaging slide 1 actuated by a pivoting rocker 14 via a connecting rod 17. It slides within a groove 2. A unit volume is defined facing the dosaging slide 1 when the latter is at its bottom dead center. The dosaging slide 1 advances towards its top dead center to deliver the dosaged material into a transfer chamber 4.

The material to be metered fills the cylinder 1 when it is in front of the admission orifice 31, whereupon the cylinder 1 moves opposite the delivery orifice 32 where the piston 2 describes a movement towards top dead center in order to eject said material out of the cylinder 1. The cylinder 1 then moves towards the admission orifice while the piston 2 remains at top dead center to avoid any return flow, whereupon the cycle starts over again.

Device for the metering of granular or powdered products

A volumetric pump for paste-like material, for example, unvulcanized rubber, in which a screw 21 feeds a cylinder 11 through ports 12 and in which a delivery piston 10 within the cylinder displaces the material through a non-return valve 15. A process for volumetric pumping of the material utilizing such volumetric pump.
