The invention relates to a novel permanent magnet electromagnetic actuator with triggering speed and drive torque improved relative to those of the prior art. A control device for controlling electrical switchgear such as a circuit breaker or the like includes an actuating arm having a connection point suitable for being moved along a closed line including points P, Pand P. The connection point thus moves during an opening stage for opening the moving contact, under the effect of a mechanical spring from point Pto point P. It also moves during a re-cocking stage for re-cocking the mechanical spring under the effect of a motor being switched on, and while keeping the moving contact in the open position, from point Pto point P. It also moves during a closure stage for closing the moving contact, also under the effect of the motor being switched on, from point Pto P. In this manner it is possible to successively perform three distinct stages of putting the actuating arm in motion, between the instant at which the moving contact leaves its closed position and the instant at which it returns thereto after having occupied its open position. A re-cocking stage for re-cocking the mechanical spring that is distinct from the closing stage and from the opening stage for closing and opening the moving contact, is performed, with the opening stage to be performed merely by releasing the energy that has been previously accumulated by the spring.

The gas-insulated line comprises a conductor (1A) disposed inside a case (3A) filled with a dielectric gas under pressure. A power capacitor (5) is electrically connected to the conductor while being disposed inside a compartment (3P) secured to the case (3A) and filled with a dielectric gas under pressure. The dielectric gas present in the compartment (3P) provides electrical insulation for the compartment relative to the power capacitor (5). In this way, electrical insulation of the gas-insulated line between the conductor (1A) and the case (3A) is maintained inside the compartment (3P) in which the power capacitor (5) and the conductor (1A) are electrically interconnected. This results in the gas-insulated line of the invention retaining small bulk and the ability to be used on the ground or buried.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for measuring the current in a high voltage overhead line (A). The apparatus comprises at least one device (2) for detecting and measuring the magnetic field induced by the line (A), the detector being arranged on the ground adjacent the line (A), the current being deduced by calculation.
