The invention relates to 2-(4'-chloro-phenylthio)-benzonitrile, to its process of preparation and to its use for preparing 2-chlorothioxanthone. 2-Chloro-thioxanthone prepared from the compound of the invention is useful as a photoinitiator for the reticulation of synthetic resins and as an intermediate for preparing pharmaceuticals.

This application relates to a new polyester of behenic acid and thiodiglycol, namely thiodiglycol dibehenate. The compound of the invention has been found to possess valuable properties as a lubricating agent for thermoplastic materials. This application relates also to a method of use of said compound as lubricating agent for thermoplastic materials.

C in the presence of sodium nitrite, to provide di-n-propyl acetic acid, which is caused to react, if so desired, with an alkali metal hydroxide or alkaline earth metal oxide in order to obtain the corresponding salt.
