A device enabling a fluid dispenser to operate both in the upside-down position and in the rightway-up position, the dispenser comprising a fluid tank, and a dispenser member having an inlet and a dip tube, said device having a chamber in communication with said inlet of the dispenser member, said chamber having a top inlet and a bottom inlet that are selectively closable by respective top and bottom check valves, the top check valve having a moving valve element suitable for closing the top inlet of the chamber in the rightway-up position, wherein the bottom check valve has a moving valve element that floats, being of a density that is lower than the density of the fluid, and being adapted to close the bottom inlet of the chamber in the upside-down position when the chamber is filled with the fluid.

The object of the invention is a combination of a portioning system and a flexible tube to contain and distribute a paste product or a cream. By pressing on the flexible tube, the system can be completely filled. Exact portions of the product can be obtained and the product is not exposed to the air, does not dry out and is not contaminated.

An elongate push-element (2) having a nozzle integrally formed with an external part (20) thereof, so that the nozzle cannot be forcibly ejected from a container which expels liquid under pressure. An opening (21a) at one end of an internal channel (21) may be slidably fitted on a valve stem (4) of a container (1), so that the push-element may be used with a variety of valve types.

The valve has a variable volume chamber (11) of annular section between an outer tubular body (1) and a coaxial member (4). An annular piston (5) is free to move axially to vary the volume of the chamber under the combined forces of a return spring (6) and the pressure in the container. A controllable plunger (7) is subject to the force of a return spring (8) and to control force from a user. In the rest position the plunger leaves the variable volume chamber in communication with the interior of the container, and thus with the substance to be dispensed. When pressed against its return spring (8), the plunger isolates the variable volume chamber from the interior of the container and puts the variable volume chamber in communication with the outside. A pressure difference thus appears across the piston (5) and the piston moves along the variable chamber against the force of its return spring (6) to dispense a measured volume of substance. When the plunger (7) is released, the inside pressure of the container is again applied to both faces of the piston (5), allowing the return spring (6) to refill the variable volume chamber (11) with a further volume of substance to be dispensed.

A push button (2) is slidably and rotatably mounted in a sleeve (1). The push button is fitted to the valve-operating rod (28) of an aerosol valve (25) fitted in the opening of an aerosol can (26) by means of a dish (22). The inside edge of the dish is crimped to the valve and its outside edge is crimped to the edges of the can. The sleeve has an internal collar (3) which is snap fitted over the neck where the inside edge of the dish is crimped to the valve. Since the sleeve thus engages the valve rather than the can, sleeve size and shape is independent of the size and shape of the can (in so far as there are relatively few valve sizes used in a wide range of can shapes and sizes). Further, by crimping the neck (22c) so that its periphery is polygonal, the sleeve can be prevented from rotating. A safety push button requiring both a turning action and an axial displacement for operation, can thus readily be operated with one hand since there is no need to use the other hand to stop the sleeve from rotating.

So as to use easily in atomizing the content of a sectile ampule, the invention provides a unitary device comprising a tubular element fitted at one end with a hand actuated spraying pump, the other end of the tubular element being open for forming a tubular housing designed for receiving the sectile ampule.

Part (14) of stem (4) which extends through opening (31) of lower basket (12) is provided with ribs (17) for having an easier passage of material, either during initial filling or during normal use. The lower part of valve body (1) is provided with openings (19), the number of which is different from the number of ribs (17).
