A computer-implemented method and a system for computer guided surgery, which include a transposition of an action, planned in a virtual environment with respect to a virtual referential R, to a physical action performed with a surgical tool in a real operating theatre environment for orthopedic surgery of a patient.

In order to position an ankle prosthesis including a tibial implant and a talus implant provided with a talo-calcaneal anchoring keel, the invention proposes a surgical instrumentation assembly including: a tibial phantom () of the tibial implant, adapted so as to be attached to the tibia (T) of a patient, and an aiming guide () adapted for setting into place an instrumentation element () through the talus (A) and the calcaneus (C) of the patient, along an axis (Z-Z) for implanting the talo-calcaneal anchoring keel, the tibial phantom and the aiming guide mechanically cooperating with each other to restrict movement of the tibial phantom and the aiming guide relative to each other along vertical and medio-lateral directions, wherein the aiming guide is configured to guide placement of the instrumentation element.

Tibial implant for knee prosthesis

A surgical instrument including at least one tibial phantom generally corresponding to at least certain features of the tibial implant. The tibial phantom includes a top surface adapted to move freely against the prepared bottom end of the tibia. At least one talus phantom generally corresponding to at least certain features of the talus implant is engaged with the prepared top surface of the talus. At least one phantom skid is located between the tibial phantom and the talus phantom. A method for implanting a malleolar implant in an ankle joint. A spacer block is positioned between a lower portion of a tibia and an upper portion of an astragalus in the ankle joint. A guide attached to the spacer block is positioned opposite an outer surface of a fibular malleolus. A bore aligned with the guide is formed through the fibular malleolus. The spacer block is removed from between the tibia and the astragalus. A shank of the malleolar implant is engaged with the bore from an inner surface of the fibular malleolus. The shank is advanced into the bore so an inner surface of a head of the malleolar implant engages the inner surface of the fibular malleolus.

A method of positioning a malleolar implant for partial or total ankle prosthesis wherein the implant includes a head intended to bear against the astragalus or astragalian prosthetic component and a shank provided to be introduced in a bore in the fibula including providing an orifice in the shank and inserting the implant in the bore by use of force applied along a flexible traction member extending through the orifice.

A malleolar implant for partial or total ankle prosthesis which includes a head having a surface to bear against an astragalus or astragalian prosthetic component and from which head extends a shank adapted to be inserted through a bore in a fibula wherein the shank is provided with means for hooking a traction member which is adapted to be inserted through the bore in the fibula in order to apply a force to pull the implant into the bore such that the implant is seated within the bore of the fibula.
