An electrical connector assembly includes a housing having cavities for receiving electric contact elements and a fastening device to fasten a cable harness that includes the electrical contact elements. The electrical connector assembly also includes a cover attached to the housing. A housing transition portion of the housing and a cover transition portion of the cover cooperate with each other to define a tube shaped guiding channel for guiding the cable harness. The fastening device is arranged inside the guiding channel. The fastening device comprises means configured to cooperate with a cable tie such that it guides and holds the cable tie in a holding direction perpendicular to an extension direction of the guiding channel.

Electrical connector assembly

An electrical connector includes a first connector housing having a cavity aligned along a mating axis and configured to receive an electrical terminal. The first connector housing has a first holding device protruding outwardly from an outer surface of the first connector housing. The electrical connector also includes a second connector housing surrounding the first connector housing along the mating axis. The second connector housing has a second holding device protruding inwardly from an inner surface of the second connector housing. The first holding device includes a first blocking surface and the second holding device includes a second blocking surface. The first blocking surface is arranged opposite the second blocking surface. The first and second holding device cooperate with each other to press the first blocking surface to the second blocking surface while holding the first and second connector housings tightly together.

Electrical connector with a first housing secured in a second housing

A connector assembly configured to be mounted through an opening in a panel for providing a connection between different harnesses of a vehicle. The connector assembly includes a connector housing and a fixing element. The fixing element is configured to lock the connector housing to the panel when the connector housing is inserted into the opening in the panel and the fixing element is attached to the connector housing. The fixing element is configured to be releasably attached to the connector housing.

Serviceable fixing system for connectors

The present invention relates to a conduit adapter system comprising a conduit adapter that is assigned to an electrical connector assembly. The conduit adapter comprises a first shell and a second shell, wherein the first shell comprises first fixing elements and the second shell comprises corresponding second fixing elements. The first shell further comprises a pre-locking means that can be engaged with corresponding pre-locking means of the electrical connector assembly, to lock the first shell to the electrical connector assembly in a pre-assembled condition. A method of assembling such a conduit adapter system is also presented.
