An apparatus of a node of a network comprises one or more baseband processors to process a first user equipment (UE) capability report from a first UE, and to process a second UE capability report from a second UE, wherein the first UE capability report and the second UE capability report include a same UE capability ID for the first UE and the second UE, and wherein the first capability report includes partial UE capability information for the first UE and the second capability report includes partial UE capability information for the second UE. The apparatus can include a memory to store the first capability report and the second capability report.

Self-learning UE capability verification from partial reported capabilities

UE capabilities provisioning and retrieval in cellular networks

A server application executing on the public Internet may establish or re-establish a packet data network (PDN) connection with a client application executing on mobile device over a cellular network by initiating a telephone call to the mobile device via a cellular access network node according to a telephone number associated with the client application. The mobile device may receive a paging for the telephone call from the cellular access network node. In response to the paging, the mobile device may determine a PDN communication channel associated with the server application, the PDN including the cellular access network node, and send a set of data to the server application via the determined PDN communication channel. The server application may, in response to receiving the set of data, send a second data set of data to the client application over a PDN communication channel associated with the client application.

Blacklisting techniques for detected set event evaluation are described. In one embodiment, for example, user equipment (UE) may comprise at least one radio frequency (RF) transceiver, at least one RF antenna, and logic, at least a portion of which is in hardware, the logic to receive a measurement control message comprising a remotely-selected event evaluation blacklist (EEB) for a wireless communication frequency, determine whether a local EEB exists for the wireless communication frequency, and in response to a determination that a local EEB exists for the wireless communication frequency, replace the contents of the local EEB with the contents of the remotely-selected EEB. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Blacklisting techniques for detected set event evaluation

Embodiments of a user equipment (UE) and Node-B to operate in a wireless communication network using extended evolved absolute radio frequency channel numbers (EARFCN) and evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) frequency bands are disclosed herein. The UE may comprise transceiver and processing circuitry to receive a multiple frequency band indicators (MFBI) list that includes list elements corresponding to E-UTRA frequency bands on which neighboring LTE cells are operated. The MFBI list corresponds to an entry in the E-UTRA frequency and priority list or the E-UTRA frequency and priority extension list. The number of list elements for E-UTRA frequency and priority information corresponds to a sum of the number of entries in an E-UTRA frequency and priority list and a number of entries in an E-UTRA frequency and priority extension list. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A method () for solving conflicts in scheduling cell broadcast (CB) message reception and idle mode tasks of a mobile device includes: receiving () first information indicating a scheduling of a cell broadcast (CB) message () reception during a discontinuous reception (DRX) phase of the mobile device; receiving () second information indicating a scheduling of an idle mode task () during the DRX phase; detecting () if a conflict exists in the scheduling of the CB message () reception and the scheduling of the idle mode task () based on the first and second information (); and if a conflict () is detected (): rearranging () the scheduling of the idle mode task () and the scheduling of the CB message () reception to solve the conflict.
