A heating device and a method for the inductive heating of a flat steel strip in a hot rolling mill. The heating device is between two rolling trains of the hot rolling mill and the flat steel strip runs at a speed through the heating device in a transporting direction. The heating device includes: transverse-field modules arranged one after the other along the transporting direction of the flat steel strip; longitudinal-field modules arranged one after the other along the transporting direction of the flat steel strip and arranged before or after the transverse-field modules along the transporting direction; a first power supply supplying at least one transverse-field module with a first alternating voltage; and a second power supply supplying at least one longitudinal-field module with a second alternating voltage. The power supplies have a converter and an electrically connected capacitor bank with multiple capacitors connected in parallel.

A bending device for two working rolls of a rolling stand. Guide blocks provided in lateral roll housings for guiding two pressure-transmission bodies vertically adjustably with respect to each other and, on which the working rolls are supported via chocks. Bending cylinders are arranged in pairs between the pressure-transmission bodies at each end of the rolls. Each cylinder has a piston rod acting on one pressure-transmission body and a cylinder at the respective other pressure-transmission body. Each pressure-transmission body is supported on a respective guide block in a sliding manner. So that loads acting on the pressure-transmission bodies can be introduced into the guide block free of edge pressure, the pressure-transmission bodies are supported on the respective guide blocks in a sliding manner by self-adjusting wearing plates which include surfaces that enable both sliding and pivoting of the bodies with respect to the guide blocks.

Bending device for two working rolls of a rolling stand

The invention relates to a method for producing a cast steel strip of preferably hot crack-sensitive or hot-brittle steel quality by means of a strip casting plant and to a strip casting plant for carrying out this method. In this case, steel melt is conducted into a melt space formed by two casting rolls and two sideplates, slab shells are formed in the melt space on cooled surface areas of the casting rolls and are brought together in the strip forming cross section between the casting rolls to form an at least partly solidified steel strip, the cast steel strip is then guided along the surface area of one of the two casting rolls from a vertical casting direction into an essentially horizontal transport direction, and the cast steel strip is supplied essentially horizontally on a transport device to a strip winding device and is wound there into a coil. In order in this case to minimize susceptibility to crack formation, the cast steel strip, during its transport movement along the surface area of one of the two casting rolls, is guided in a transport channel without the application of deformation forces influencing the strip thickness and is subjected in this region to strip cooling of less than 200 K/s.

Method for producing a cast steel strip

A two-roll casting installation with two casting rolls which rotate in opposite directions about horizontal axes and forming a casting gap for forming and discharging a thin cast metal strip. A sealed housing which has a base and surrounds a conveying path for the metal strip which leaves the casting gap and which strip is from a vertical casting direction into an approximately horizontal conveying direction. Diverter devices divert the metal strip within the housing. A displaceable scrap collection container removes scrap and scale produced from the two-roll casting installation. To minimize the penetration of external air into the housing, the base of the housing, at least in a subregion, forms a collection trough for the scrap, which is part of an emptying device, and a displaceable scrap collection container is arranged in a receiving position below the emptying device.

Two-roll casting device

A device for casting a molten metal comprising casting rolls and a housing arranged downstream from the rolls for the cast strip. The aim of the invention is to be able to replace the casting rolls with minimum mounting, and to simultaneously reduce the thermal load of the casting rolls and the adjacent units. A casting roll screen which forms a displaceable structural unit with a frame used to support the casting rolls.
