A method of custom manufacturing a fluid pressure reduction device for use in a process control valve. The method includes creating the fluid pressure reduction device using an additive manufacturing technique, which generally includes forming a body and forming a plurality of flow paths in the body. The body has an inner wall and an outer wall spaced radially outward of the inner wall. The flow paths are formed in the body between the inner wall and the outer wall of the body. Each of the flow paths includes an inlet section formed in one of the inner and outer walls, a curved intermediate section, and an outlet section formed in the other of the inner and outer walls.

Method of manufacturing a fluid pressure reduction device

A method of custom manufacturing a fluid pressure reduction device for use in a process control valve. The method includes creating the fluid pressure reduction device using an additive manufacturing technique, which generally includes forming a body and forming a plurality of flow paths in the body. The body has an inner wall and an outer wall spaced radially outward of the inner wall. The flow paths are formed in the body between the inner wall and the outer wall of the body. Each of the flow paths includes an inlet aperture, an outlet aperture, and an intermediate section extending between the inlet and outlet apertures. At least a portion of the intermediate section extends in a substantially vertical direction that is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis, such that the flow paths are able to utilize previously un-used space in the device.

A control valve trim assembly has a body having an annular first section and a longitudinally adjacent annular second section and defines an inner surface and an outer surface. A plurality of first openings are formed in the inner surface of the first section of the body and a plurality of second openings are formed in the outer surface of the first section of the body. Each of the first openings is in fluid communication with a corresponding second opening via a fluid passage formed through the body, which passes through the first section and the second section and each of the fluid passages has at least one radially extending portion and at least one longitudinally extending portion.

Noise attenuation trim assembly

A unitary valve trim assembly that can be easily installed in and removed from a valve body of a process control valve. The valve trim assembly includes a valve cage and a valve seat. The valve cage has a first projection that extends in a first direction that is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the valve cage. The valve seat has a second projection that extends in a second direction, opposite the first direction, that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The second projection is arranged to engage the first projection to removably couple the valve seat to the valve cage.

A control valve includes a body having an inlet and an outlet and a valve seat positioned in a passageway between the inlet and the outlet. A valve plug is positioned within the body and is movable between an opened position and a closed position to modulate a fluid flow at the outlet. A cage is disposed within the body adjacent the valve seat and proximate the valve plug and has a circumferential wall having an outer surface and an inner surface aligned along a longitudinal axis of the cage. The outer surface of the cage defines an outer flow length and the inner surface defines an inner flow length that is less than the outer flow length.

A control valve trim assembly has a solid, one-piece unitary body having an inner surface and an outer surface. A plenum is formed within the body and is spaced apart from the inner surface and the outer surface. A plurality of first openings are formed in the inner surface of the body and are in fluid communication with the plenum via a corresponding first fluid passages formed through the body. A plurality of second openings are formed in the outer surface of the body and are in fluid communication with the plenum via a corresponding second fluid passages through the body.

A gas pressurized packing system for use in a control valve may include a first packing member, a second packing member and a pressurized gas supply. The first and second packing members may be arranged about, respectively, lower and upper portions of an operating member that extends through a bore in the control valve. The pressurized gas supply may be configured to pressurize a portion of the bore arranged between the first and second packing members. The gas pressurized packing system may be implemented in a low fugitive emission control valve and a low fugitive emission control valve system.

An example apparatus includes a connector housing including an internal cavity therein, a load relieving body disposed in the internal cavity, and a shaft coupled to the load relieving body. In the example apparatus, the shaft is to rotate the load relieving body between a first position and a second position.

Multi-piece flow control apparatus for use with fluid valves are described. An example flow control apparatus described herein includes a sleeve having first and second ends, the first end including a lip. A valve plug tip is disposed in the sleeve and has a shoulder engaged with an inner surface of the lip. An insert is disposed in the second end of the sleeve and engaged with the valve plug tip to urge the shoulder of the valve plug tip against the inner surface of the lip. The insert has an opening to receive a stem of the valve.

Multi-piece flow control apparatus for use with fluid valves

Actuator apparatus having internal passageways are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an actuator casing having a load apparatus to define an upper pressure chamber and a lower pressure chamber. The upper pressure chamber is opposite the lower pressure chamber. A yoke is to couple to the actuator casing to a fluid valve. An internal passageway is formed in a body of the yoke to fluidly couple a control fluid to at least one of the first or the lower pressure chamber. A fluid connector assembly is positioned in the actuator casing to fluidly couple the internal passageway to the upper pressure chamber. The load apparatus is between the internal passageway of the yoke and the upper pressure chamber.

A fluid pressure reduction device includes a radial and axial fluid flow path in stacked disks. The stacked disks form a fluid flow path including at least two pressure reduction stages, a first pressure reduction stage being oriented so that the fluid flowpath is directed radially outward and a second pressure reduction stage being oriented so that the fluid flowpath is directed radially inward.

A control valve having a retainer for securing a seat ring within the valve body of the device is disclosed. The seat ring is disposed within a bore in the fluid flow path of the valve body of the control valve, and the retainer is attached to the inner surface of the valve body to retain the seat ring within the bore. The retainer includes threaded openings therethrough for receiving bolts that are tightened down on the seat ring to hold the seat ring against the inner surface of the bore and/or a gasket to form a tight seal and prevent leakage when the control device is in the closed position.
