An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember for connecting to two vehicle pillars, a mounting connected to the crossmember and radially protruding therefrom, and a panel-shaped instrument. The mounting has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means. The instrument is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and held such that its operating surface faces the passenger compartment. Each mount has a respective upper and lower cord. Each cord has limbs adjoining one another at an angle. The cords are inclined relative to each other so as to have a greater distance to each other at the instrument connection side than at the side facing the crossmember. At least one of the two cords has at least one predetermined bending point between the two connection points of the cord.

Assembly for a vehicle

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember, which is provided for connecting to two pillars lying opposite each other with respect to the x-y plane of the vehicle; a mounting that is connected to the crossmember, protrudes therefrom in the radial direction, and has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means; and a panel-shaped instrument which is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and which is held such that the operating surface of the instrument faces the passenger compartment of the vehicle in the x direction. Each of the two mounts is designed in the form of a half shell which are arranged such that the opening side thereof faces in the y direction, wherein the two limbs of the mounts designed as half shells are arranged on the x-y plane, the web connecting said limbs is arranged on the y-z plane, and each of the mounts has at least one predetermined bending point, which is provided by the geometry of the mount, between the two connection points of the mount, said mounts bending at the predetermined bending point in the z and/or y direction in the event of a load (x direction).

A dashboard carrier for a motor vehicle with a first hollow carrier profile and a second hollow carrier profile. The two carrier profiles are aligned in the longitudinal extension of the dashboard carrier, arranged at a distance from one another, and connected to one another by a carrier connector spanning the distance between the two carrier profiles. The carrier connector connects the two carrier profiles to one another eccentrically and asymmetrically in relation to the longitudinal axis of the carrier profiles. The carrier connector has an attachment portion on each end side thereof and a carrier portion which connects the attachment portions. The carrier connector is connected, with its attachment portions, to a respective circumferential portion of the lateral surface of the two carrier profiles. The carrier portion is arranged radially on or outside an imaginary lateral surface connecting the lateral surfaces of the two carrier profiles, and thus the space located between the mutual-facing ends of the carrier profiles is usable as an installation space for an assembly or component of the vehicle.

Dashboard carrier for a motor vehicle

A bumper cross member designed as a hollow chamber profile for a motor vehicle having an upper component and a lower component joined to the upper component. Both components are each designed as a half shell having two legs spaced apart from one another and a web connecting the legs. An insert plate is joined to the legs of the half shells. The insert plate is arranged between the joints of the legs of the half shells facing toward one another and bridges the joint spacing between the legs of the two half shells.
