A method is described for the determination of the taking of a medication utilizing at least one physiological parameter monitoring platform. In addition, the method also may enable the determination of physiological effects or events resultant from the taking of a medication (or lack thereof) through the use of one or more physiological monitoring platforms.

The Elastomer Suspension System Skateboard Truck is proposed for use in all styles of skateboarding. This new design is unlike any conventional skateboard truck. The truck incorporates an elatomer suspension system, which is a modification of the type used in automotive vehicles and other mechanisms utilizing shock absorbing equipment. The elastomer shock absorbers oppose pressure from end to end, therefore diminishing or eliminating all forces associated with sudden or rapid motions. By downgrading or eradicating these extreme shock forces the skateboarder has more control, and is therefore more maneuverable.

A caloric energy balance monitor uses calories expended during rest and activity, and calories consumed from food, to compute a predicted change in the user's body fat percentage. The predicted change in body fat percentage is then compared to an actual change in body fat percentage to iteratively compute a correction factor that is used in subsequent measurements of net caloric energy balance.

A probe cover for use with an IR thermometer includes a cover comprising a conical sidewall and an infrared transmissive window at its tip. A bushing is inserted into the interior of the tip of the cover to produce an outward radial force against the adjacent sidewall. The bushing flattens the film membrane forming the window and thus enhances distortion free transmission of IR radiation.
