Methods of plant enhancement with microalgae biomass

One or more compositions and methods for applying compositions, for improving characteristics of plants and soil are disclosed. The methods can be utilized by administering an effective amount of a macroalgal based composition (e.g., algal composition), such as comprising an extract of the biomass of an algae. Low concentration of the composition may be used for the application, to provide effective results.

Laminaria based compositions for benefitting plants and methods of application

An enhanced subscriber line interface circuit for a digital switching system which includes a line configuration and protection circuit connection tot he subscriber line and to a thick-film hybrid module. The thick-film hybrid module comprises a high voltage interface circuit and a PCM conversion circuit. The high voltage interface circuit provides power to the subscriber line, converts received analog voice signals transmitted from the subscriber instrument into differential voltage voice signals and detects the subscriber lines status. The PCM conversion circuit is connected to the high voltage interface circuit and is disposed to convert received differential voice signals into PCM digital signals. A line control interface circuit receives control signals from a peripheral processor of the digital switching system, controls the operation of the circuits of the thick-film hybrid module, and receives subscriber line information from the high voltage interface circuit which it passes on to the peripheral processor. A time slot assignment circuit connected to the peripheral processor is arranged to develop and transmit to the PCM conversion circuit time slot assignment information and to connect the PCM digital signals from the enhanced subscriber line interface circuit to the digital switching system.

Enhanced subscriber line interface circuit

A hybrid balance and combination codec filter circuit used in a subscriber line interface circuit over which a connection is established between a digital switching network and a subscriber instrument. The hybrid balance and combination codec filter circuit in combination includes a transmit section that converts differential voltage audio signals representing voice transmissions transmitted from the subscriber instrument into Pulse Code Modulated (PCM) encoded digital data, for transmission to the digital switching network. A receive section converts PCM encoded digital data representing voice signals switched through the digital switching network into differential voltage audio signals for transmission to the subscriber instrument. An included hybrid balance and echo cancellation section connected between the transmit section and the receive section reshapes the audio band signals output by the receive section. The reshaped audio band signals are applied to the transmit section, where they cancel any reflected audio band signals not completely transferred to the terminating impedance. Finally, an impedance section provides an audio band feedback signal between the transmit section and the receive section for synthesizing a source impedance that is matched to the impedance of the tip and ring leads of the subscriber loop.

Hybrid balance and combination codec filter circuit

A ringing signal control circuit used in a Subscriber Line Interface Circuit (SLIC) for connecting a ringing signal bus to a subscriber loop. The ringing signal bus transmits ringing signals along the subscriber loop to a subscriber instrument. The SLIC includes a High Voltage Line Interface (HVLI) circuit connected to the subscriber loop and the ringing signal bus is connected to a ringing generator that provides a source of ringing signals. The ringing signal control circuit comprises a logic interface circuit connected via an address/data bus to a central controller that is arranged to receive ringing connection signals from the central controller and to generate a ringing activation signal. A ring timing circuit receives the ringing activation signal and generates a first and second output signals. The second output signal is transmitted from the ring timing circuit at a specific time interval subsequent to the first output signal. A first switching device receives the first output signal from the ring timing circuit and disconnects the HVLI from the subscriber loop. A second switching device receives the second output signal from the ring timing circuit, connecting the ring bus and the ringing signals to the subscriber loop for transmission to the subscriber instrument.

Ringing signal control circuit for an enhanced subscriber line interface

An enhanced high voltage line interface circuit for a digital switching system over which a connection is established between a digital switching system and a subscriber instrument via a subscriber loop. The high voltage line interface circuit includes in combination circuits that provide power to the subscriber loop and convert received analog voice signals transmitted from the subscriber instrument into differential voltage voice signals for subsequent conversion to digital data for use by the digital switching system. Additionally, differential voltage voice signals from the digital switching system are converted to analog voice signals for transmission along the subscriber loop to the subscriber instrument. The high voltage line interface circuit further includes circuits that detect and monitor the subscriber loop status and develop digital logic output signals that are used to report the status of the loop to a digital switching system controller.

Enhanced high voltage line interface circuit

An over-current verifier circuit used in a Subscriber Line Interface Circuit (SLIC) for validating an over-current condition on a subscriber loop comprising a first counter connected to the SLIC disposed to receive an oversense signal from the SLIC. The first counter begins counting when the oversense signal is received and produces an output signal when the oversense signal is still active after the counter finishes, denoting a dc over-current in the subscriber loop. A timer circuit connected to the SLIC also receives the oversense signal. The timer is arranged to begin counting when the oversense signal is received. A second counter further receives the oversense signal and is advanced by one count on the high to low transition of the oversense signal. The second counter produces an output signal when three counter advances are produced before the timer times out, denoting an ac over-current condition. A register circuit connected to the first counter and to the second counter is arranged to receive the first counter output signal or the second counter output signal and transmit to a logic interface an over-current signal advising a central controller that an over-current condition exists on the subscriber loop. Finally, a cut clear pulse generator connected to the register circuit and to a cut relay is also arranged to receive the over-current signal from the register circuit and produce an output pulse that enables the cut relay. The cut relay then electrically breaks the subscriber loop, isolating the SLIC from the subscriber loop.

Over-current verifier circuit for an enhanced subscriber line interface

An improved bi-directional buffer line amplifier is disclosed that provides a high performance analog interface between a Digital Network Interface Circuit (DNIC) and a transmission line. The buffer line amplifier includes a transmit amplifier network including an input connected to a DNIC transmit signal output. The input is arranged to receive transmit signals from the DNIC. A transmit output is connected to a matching network via a selectable gain amplifying circuit. The selectable gain amplifying circuit applies the transmit signals to the matching network in a first or a second gain level. In the first gain level the gain amplifying circuit is removed from the transmit amplifier network and the transmit amplifier network operates as a unity gain amplifier. This allows the buffer line amplifier to work efficiently with transmission line loop lengths from zero to a nominal distance. In the second gain level the gain amplifying circuit is connected in series between the transmit amplifier network and the matching network, thereby, significantly amplifying the transmit signals. This allows the buffer line amplifier to work efficiently with transmission line loop lengths of a substantially greater distance than the nominal distance. A receive amplifier network is also included that cancels the transmit signals from receive signals. This provides the necessary phase error cancellation required by the DNIC for the error free reception of the receive signals.
