The present invention relates to pre-ignition lubrication mechanisms for internal combustion engines, and more particularly to a pressurized pre-combustion oiling mechanism for use with internal combustion engines. The present invention provides an accumulator tank containing either air or an easily condensible gas. The pressurized oil causes the air or gas in the bag to become compressed, causing a decrease in occupied volume in proportion to the pressure induced by the oil to allow the oil to occupy a suitable portion of the tank. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the pressurized oil would cause the condensible gas to undergo a phase change and liquify. Conventional valving known in the state of the art is provided to allow the accumulated pressurized oil to be used prior to a subsequent engine startup, and conventional electronic control systems are provided to engage and disengage the aforementioned valves for a proper pre-ignition lubrication sequence. The present invention also provides a means of enhancing the volume of oil delivered by the accumulator.

The present invention relates to a method of providing nearly constant pressure during operation of a device incorporating a pressurized container and more particularly pre-ignition lubrication mechanisms for internal combustion engines, pressurized pre-combustion oiling mechanism for use with internal combustion engines, pressurized water or other fluid tanks, and pressurized fluid and other pressurized material dispensers. In general, the invention comprises a device capable of emitting either acoustic or electromagnetic radiant energy. The device has at least one reflector with a smooth concave surface which reflects the energy emitted from the transducing element. The device also has at least two transducing elements for producing this energy. The shape of this reflector surface is preferably defined by either an ellipse or a parabola that is rotated about an axis of revolution, for any angular distance between zero and one complete revolution. The shape of this reflector surface can also be preferably defined by the coincident surfaces of revolution of an ellipse and a parabola that are rotated about a common axis of revolution.

The invention comprises a device capable of emitting either acoustic or electromagnetic radiant energy. The device has at least one movable transducing element for producing this energy, and at least one reflector with a smooth concave surface which reflects the energy emitted from the transducing element. The shape of the reflector surface is preferably defined by either a rotated ellipse or a rotated parabola. A reflector surface of either shape is characterized by a continuum of distinct focal points that define a focal curve, such that each distinct focal point of the continuum is a unique focal point of each ellipse or parabola in the continuum forming the reflector surface. The radius of curvature of the parabolic surface of revolution can be extended up to an infinite length, causing the focal curve to appear as a straight line. The movable transducing element may be positioned above the reflector surface to produce energy that is redirected by the reflector surface into a focal region containing the focal curve, causing the focal region to appear as the source of the energy. The radiation pattern, or beamwidth, of this reflected energy will be substantially frequency invariant when the transducer is positioned symmetrically about the axis of revolution. However, the beamwidth can be adjusted by moving the transducer to another location. In addition, a means is provided for absorbing or attenuating that radiation which is not reflected from the reflector surface, in order to eliminate interference between reflected and non-reflected radiation.

An electrostatically clad conduit innerduct liner and method for making the innerduct are disclosed, The process includes, heating the innerduct to a temperature less than melting point of the innerduct or a powder to be coated on the inner surface of the innderduct, The powder to be coated is electrically charged and applied to the innerduct by spraying from a nozzle having a different polarity than the innerduct to provide a substantially uniform coating.

Conversely, a transducer placed about this common focal point and can produce radiation which will be converted into a plane wave radiation. Additional transducers can be placed at the lens' focal curve to process the radiation for signal tracking and self-alignment. The lens operates as a transmitter or receiver of acoustic or electromagnetic radiation.
