A golf ball sensing apparatus for use with a portable electronic device including a data acquisition device and a processing unit, and in association with a golf club and a cup. The apparatus includes a golf ball, at least one sensor carried by the ball and a non-transitory computer-readable medium. The sensor senses at least one attribute of the ball. The medium directs a processing unit to identify the initiation of a first stroke of the ball towards the cup, obtain a first final location after the first stroke, obtain the at least one attribute of the first stroke, store a set of associated data regarding the first stroke, obtain a second initial location of the ball prior to a subsequent second stroke, and output portions of the stored set of data in response to the second initial location being within a predetermined zone of the first initial location.

Golf ball and caddie system

An apparatus including a golf ball comprising an internal sensor, and an internal wireless communicator. The internal wireless communicator adapted to communicate parameters sensed by the sensor to external electronics, wherein the external electronics are configured to determine if the golf ball went into a cup based upon the parameters.

An adjustable assembly includes a golf club shaft, a golf club head having a hosel portion with a hosel opening, a hosel insert, a shaft adapter, and a fastener. The hosel insert is secured to the hosel portion and includes at least one inwardly extending pawl. The adapter extends about a longitudinal axis, and defines a shaft opening. The adapter includes outwardly projecting teeth aligned with the hosel insert. Each tooth includes leading and trailing surfaces. The leading surface is shaped to enable rotational movement of the adapter about the axis with respect to the hosel insert in a first rotational direction. The trailing surface is shaped to selectively engage the pawl to inhibit rotational movement of the adapter with respect to the hosel insert in a second rotation direction that is opposite the first direction. The fastener is releasably coupled to the head and the adapter.

Golf club adjustable hosel assembly

An adjustable assembly includes a shaft, a club head having a hosel portion with a hosel opening, a hosel insert, a shaft adapter, and a fastener. The hosel insert is secured to the hosel portion and includes at least one pawl. The hosel portion or the hosel insert includes a first set of projections. The adapter extends about a first longitudinal axis and includes a second set of teeth aligned with the hosel insert, and a third set of projections for selectable engagement with the first set. Each tooth includes first leading and trailing surfaces. The first leading surface is shaped to enable rotational movement of the adapter about the axis with respect to the hosel insert in a first rotational direction. The first trailing surface is shaped to selectively engage the pawl to inhibit rotational movement of the adapter in a second rotation direction, opposite the first direction.

An adjustable assembly includes a shaft, a club head having a hosel portion, a hosel insert, a shaft adapter, and a fastener. The hosel insert is secured to the hosel portion and includes a plurality of inwardly projecting teeth. Each tooth includes leading and surfaces. The adapter extends about a first longitudinal axis and includes at least one outwardly extending flexible or biased element aligned with the teeth. The leading surfaces are shaped to enable rotational movement of the adapter about the axis with respect to the hosel insert in a first rotational direction. The trailing surfaces are shaped to selectively engage the element to inhibit rotational movement of the adapter in a second rotation direction, opposite the first rotational direction. The assembly is adjustable between several locked positions. Each of the locked positions defines a separate loft and/or lie position of the head with respect to the shaft.
