An apparatus for metering printing ink includes an ink fountain roller, an ink fountain and a mounting for the ink fountain. The mounting permits an adjustment of the ink fountain relative to the ink fountain roller. The mounting has at least one elastic element for generating a holding force. The mounting is configured in such a way that a force flux which results from the holding force deflects the ink fountain roller in such a way that its longitudinal outer contour is adapted to the longitudinal outer contour of the ink fountain. A printing press having the apparatus is also provided.

An inking unit in a printing machine, formed as a film inking unit, includes an ink duct with an ink duct film inserted between an ink metering system, which is subdivided into ink zones, and an ink duct roller. The ink duct film within each of the ink zones in a region of a settable metering gap is held out of contact with the ink duct roller during printing. The invention also includes a printing machine, such as a sheet-fed printing machine, particularly, provided with the inking unit.

An inking unit for a printing machine includes one or more distributor drums, ink transfer rollers, ink application rollers, an ink reservoir for printing ink and an ink metering device having at least one electrically controllable valve for metering the printing ink. A sheet transfer drum of a multi-color sheet-fed rotary printing press. A central drum body with flat portions carries at least one gripper system which extends over the sheet width. Jacket segments are mounted on the flat portions of the drum body. The jacket segments are exchangeably attached and they are formed with an inflatable interior. When they are deflated, the jacket segments fold into the flat portions of the drum body.
