A vehicle assembly includes a first body component and a second body component. The first body component has an exterior surface and an interior hidden surface, where the exterior surface has in part an aesthetic finish. The first body component defines a first connecting portion having a rib secured by the interior surface. The rib has a first opening formed therethrough. The second body component has an outward extended second connecting portion. A base wall of the second connecting portion has a second opening formed therethrough. The base wall abuts the rib with the second opening aligned with the first opening. A fastener is inserted through the first and second openings from within the second connecting portion.

Plastic vehicle body components and related attachment method

A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion supported on a frame. The seat cushion is removable from the frame to allow access an area beneath the seat. A handle is formed on a projecting portion of the seat cushion to facilitate grasping the seat cushion and to allow the seat cushion to be removed from the frame. A seat stopper is provided for preventing the projecting portion from contacting directly against a console or other surrounding part of the vehicle.

The disclosure provides a roofing system suitable for off-road vehicles. The roofing system includes a front panel that connects to a front, first lateral member of a roll cage of the vehicle and extends rearward over a front passenger seat to a rearward, second lateral member of the roll cage. The roofing system includes a rear panel that overlaps and connects to the front panel at a lateral seam including a channel and a seal between the front panel and the rear panel. The same front panel may be used on multiple models of vehicle. The rear panel may be sized according to the model of the vehicle. When different rear panels are used, each rear panel may include the same features along a front edge for forming a seam with the common front panel.

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame, a body on the vehicle frame, the vehicle frame and the body defining a wheel well, a wheel disposed in the wheel well, an engine for propelling the vehicle, and an electrical system for providing electrical power to the engine. The electrical system includes a regulator for maintaining a constant voltage across the electrical system located in the wheel well. A cover is located in the wheel well between the regulator and the wheel. An air intake is located in the body for directing airflow into a portion of the wheel well defined by the cover and housing the regulator to cool the regulator.

A vehicular door assembly includes a door and at least one hinge structure. Each of the at least one hinge structure includes a knuckle and a bushing. The knuckle extends away from the door. The door and the knuckle of each of the at least one hinge structure are integrally formed as a unitary structure. The knuckle of each of the at least one hinge structure includes an upper surface and a lower surface, and defines a bore extending through the knuckle and opening onto each of the upper surface and the lower surface. The bushing defines a hinge aperture and a hinge axis. At least a substantial portion of the bushing is positioned within the bore defined by a respective one of the knuckles. A lid to selectably close off the container opening is also pivotably attached to the first pivot point and is pivotable independently of the container. A flexible tonneau cover is selectably configurable between a stowed condition within the container and a deployed condition closing off the cargo opening. The container is movable to a position within the cavity when the tonneau cover is in the stowed condition, and is further movable to a position outside the cavity when the tonneau cover is in the deployed condition.

A seat for a vehicle includes a cushion, a base and a tab. The base supports the cushion and defines a chamber having an opening. The chamber is configured to provide a storage location for a manual and the opening is configured to accommodate passage of a manual to and from the chamber. The tab is provided adjacent to the opening and is moveable between a first position in which the tab blocks a manual from passing through the opening, and a second position in which the tab allows a manual to pass through the opening. A receptacle facilitates storage of a manual beneath the seat of a vehicle. A vehicle includes a seat, a chamber and a tab.

Vehicles, such as all terrain vehicles, can be provided with a frame and a fender assembly. The fender assembly can have layered fender panels attached together with a bolt and T-nut. A channel can be formed between the fender panels to facilitate passage of fluid along a predetermined pathway. A seat includes a compression surface for sandwiching the fender assembly with respect to the frame. Front and rear fender assemblies can be attached to the frame by a midpoint fastener passing through respective apertures in each of the front and rear fender assemblies, through a grommet, and into the frame. A stay assembly attaches a mudguard to the fender assembly, and can involve a swivel clip. Methods are also provided.
