An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a motor, an actuator, an arm, and a cable. The cable is coupled between the motor and the actuator through the arm. The motor is configured to provide a nominal tension of resistance when an end of the cable is within a range of length from a zero point associated with the cable.

Exercise machine with pancake motor

An exercise system includes an exercise platform comprising an internal motor coupled to a cable exiting the exercise platform via a portal in an exit direction to transmit force to a remote handle. It further includes an auxiliary pulley external to the exercise platform that redirects the cable from the exit direction to facilitate a direction of an exercise motion.

Floor-based exercise machine configurations

A weight training machine includes a central console including a motor. It further includes an arm having a length attached on either side of the console by a joint that allows rotation of the arm in a substantially vertical plane. The arm is rotatable relative to the resistance unit about the connecting gear, the arm having a central axis. The arm includes a control that mechanically disengages a locking mechanism from the connecting gear. The control is activated by an activation force substantially directed either toward the central axis of the arm, along a length of the arm, or about the central axis. The activation force is mechanically converted into linear force along the arm that disengages the locking mechanism from the connecting gear.

Exercise machine arm with single-handed adjustment

An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a motor, an actuator, a vertically pivotable arm, and a cable. A position of the vertically pivotable arm is able to be locked at least in part by using a component including one or more teeth. The vertically pivotable arm includes a release component. The cable is coupled between the actuator and the motor through the vertically pivotable arm. The motor facilitates strength training at least in part by generating resistance such that a force on the actuator corresponds to a specified weight.

Exercise machine with a vertically pivotable arm

An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a frame, a first motor, a second motor, a first slider, and a second slider. The frame includes a front side and a back side. A longitudinal axis of the first motor passes through the front side and the back side of the frame. The first motor drives a first cable and the second motor drives a second cable. Exercise machine configurations

An exercise machine comprises a tension generating device, the tension generating device being based on at least one of the following: electronic resistance, pneumatic cylinders, springs, weights, flexing nylon rods, elastics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and friction, a translatable arm mount coupled to the tension generating device; an arm coupled to the translatable arm mount; and a cable coupled to the tension generating device via the arm.

Exercise machine enhancements

An exercise system includes a platform, a first stopper, and a second stopper. The platform includes a first vertically oriented motor and a second vertically oriented motor. An exercise machine comprises a tiltable arm, and a mechanism to support a discrete number of positions for the tiltable arm.
