Aspects of the invention may involve systems and methods. In an embodiment, a method to determine wireless network coverage and responsiveness may be described. The method may include wirelessly transmitting test data to determine wireless connectivity and transmission quality; determining a quality of the wireless transmission of the test data; determining a location of the wireless device during the wireless transmission of the test data; updating a log with the location of the wireless device, a time of day of the wireless transmission, and the quality of the wireless transmission; and transmitting the log to a central server.

Method and apparatus to determine a wireless network coverage and responsiveness

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for signaling in a network. A method of signaling in a network includes determining in a first end station a destination telephone network address of a second end station and determining in the first end station an intermediate Internet address corresponding to the destination telephone network address. In response to determining the intermediate Internet address, the method retrieves an Internet address of the second end station from an address list at the intermediate Internet address and establishes an end-to-end Internet connection between the first end station and the second end station with the Internet address of the second end station.

Signaling system and method to connect idle internet end stations with application in internet telephony

A method of transmitting spoken words including a speech recognition engine in a computer system, the speech recognition engine having a data dictionary containing a number of words associated with a corresponding number of codes, receiving a word in a microphone system of the computer system, recognizing the word, checking the word in the data dictionary for an associated code, assigning the word the associated code, determining whether another word has been received, repeating the steps of recognizing, checking, assigning, and determining the end of speech, packing the associated codes into a first sequence; and transmitting the first sequence via a communication link attached to the computer system. As an enhancement, translating the phrases before encoding them provides automatic language translation. At receiving side, decomposing the received sequence of codes, transforming the sequence of codes into text words and reproducing the text into the original or the translated speech through a text to speech engine.
