A machine for non-woven fabric formation containing a rotating center shaft, at least a first and second pair of laterally spaced, interchangeable helical yarn guides, a yarn feeding wheel assembly, a fabric take up. The machine is capable of forming both square and tri-axial scrims with changes to the interchangeable helical yarn guides and yarn feeding wheel assembly.

Scrim machine

A window screen installation system is disclosed that includes a screen frame configured in a generally rectangular configuration from a plurality of screen frame extrusions. A plurality of trim molds are included that are configured to snap into place over the screen frame extrusion. When respective ends of the trim molds are positioned adjacent one another they form a plurality of generally rectangular shaped openings. A plurality of plinths are configured to be positioned in each of the plurality of openings configured to further secure the trim molds to the screen frame extrusions.

A gazebo screen installation system is disclosed that is operable to allow screen frame assemblies to be installed in gazebos. The system includes a gazebo screen frame having a wedge portion and a trim portion. The trim portion includes a mounting rib extending upwardly from an upper surface of the trim portion and the wedge portion extends downwardly from said trim portion. A backing wedge strip is included having an angled surface and a mounting surface. The angled surface is formed in relation to the mounting surface such that a right angle forming angle is created in relation to a screen material when the backing wedge strip is connected with a vertical support member of a gazebo.

A process for forming a fiber reinforced core panel which is able to be contoured includes the following steps. First, slice a sheet of a low density material a plurality of times in a first direction of the sheet on at least one side, where the slices extend through only a portion of the thickness of the sheet, then divide the sheet in the second direction of the sheet into a series of low density strips having at least three faces (major face, a first edge face, a second edge face, and optionally a minor face) where the slices in the sheet form a series of cuts in the major or minor face of the low density strips. Next, arrange the series of low density strips to form a core panel and thread a continuous fibrous reinforcement sheet through the low density strips such that the fibrous reinforcement sheet is disposed between adjacent strips and adjacent to the major or minor faces of the low density strips.

Process for forming a fiber reinforced core panel able to be contoured

A method and apparatus for combining elongated strips is provided. The strips are wrapped with a flexible material that may include a reinforcement layer and other layers such as adhesives whereby the strips can be bonded to one another. Additionally, layers of e.g., a stabilizing material may be added to one or both sides of the intermediate formed by the elongated strips and flexible material. The stabilizing material can be e.g., layers of a scrim and/or one or more layers of material that are impregnated with a resin to add strength to the intermediate.

Method and apparatus for combining elongated strips

A fiber measurement system for precision measurement of individual fiber properties, including length and fiber length distribution is provided. The fiber measurement system includes a fiber introduction system configured to introduce a plurality of individualized fibers. A fiber guidance enclosure is configured to receive the fibers from the fiber introduction system. The fiber guidance enclosure has an enclosed pathway and a viewing area. The viewing area has a height that limits mobility of the fibers in a Z-direction and the viewing area has a width that is wider than the enclosed pathway. A sensing system is provided for detecting the presence of the fibers within the fiber guidance enclosure. An imaging system is positioned proximal the viewing area of the fiber guidance enclosure to capture an image of the individualized fiber as the fibers pass through the viewing area. A controller is provided for analyzing the image data to determine at least one property of the fibers.

Method and system for fiber properties measurement

The flexible electroluminescent capacitive sensor system contains an electroluminescent capacitive sensor, a capacitance meter, and an electroluminescence electronic drive. The capacitive sensor contains in order a first barrier layer, a first transparent electrode layer, a phosphor layer, a second electrode layer, a flexible, resilient dielectric layer, and an electrically conductive reference layer. The capacitance meter is electrically connected to the electrically conductive reference layer and either the second electrode layer or the first electrode layer. The electroluminescence electronic drive is electrically connected to the first transparent electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The first electrode layer has a first voltage, the second electrode layer has a second voltage, and the conductive reference layer has a third voltage. The first or second electrodes may be patterned to allow for multiple sensor regions integrated into a single sensor structure.
