A system and method for detecting interactive network of automated accounts, the interactive network of automated accounts comprising a plurality of automated accounts posting to a social media channel, the system comprising: an ingestion engine operated by a computational device for connecting to the social media channel and receiving a plurality of social media postings from a plurality of posting entities; a bot model operated by a computational device for determining whether at least one posting entity is a suspected bot; and a computer network for communication between said computational devices.

Disclosed are systems and methods for remotely controlling and monitoring water supply systems in buildings. A system can include a sensor to continuously detect building conditions, an electromechanical device to control a water valve located along a water supply for the building, a user computing device to display information about the building conditions, and a computer system to: continuously receive building condition information from the sensor, determine, based on the information, that an emergency has been detected, generate and transmit first instructions that cause the electromechanical device to turn off the water valve, generate and transmit second instructions that cause the user computing device to present information about the emergency in a graphical user interface (GUI) display, receive user input to control the electromechanical device, and generate and return third instructions to control the electromechanical device based on the user input and/or the continuously received sensor information.

Embodiments disclose a method for automatic summarization of content. The method includes accessing a plurality of stories from a plurality of data sources for a predefined time. Each story is associated with a media item. The method includes plotting the plurality of stories over the predefined time for determining one or more peaks and extracting a set of stories from the one or more peaks. The method includes detecting one or more themes from the set of stories using LDA algorithm. Each theme is associated with a group of stories. The method further includes determining at least one subset of stories for each theme from the group of stories representing the set of stories in the one or more peaks using RBM algorithm. The method includes generating a summarized content for each user based on an associated user profile and the at least one subset of stories.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for identifying issues in a building. In one aspect, a method includes receiving information describing an issue with a building, accessing data that identifies (i) a plurality of components that are included in the building and (ii) features of the plurality of components, identifying one or more candidate components that have at least a threshold likelihood of being a cause of the issue, and performing some action in response to remedy the issue. For example, the method can include selecting a candidate service provider from among a plurality of service providers based on a comparison of (i) the one or more candidate components and (ii) information identifying technical qualifications for the plurality of service providers, transmitting a service request for the issue to the candidate service provider, receiving a response from the candidate service provider, and scheduling, based on the response, a service appointment.

Techniques for anomaly detection within a group of hosts are described. As one example, a computer-implemented method includes performing a single, distributed task with a plurality of hosts, sending, by each host of the plurality of hosts, processing utilization data for a period of time to an anomaly detector, generating a Fourier component vector for each host that comprises a Fourier component value in each element from the processing utilization data of that host with the anomaly detector, generating a mean value vector that comprises a mean value for each element position of the Fourier component vectors in a respective element position of the mean value vector with the anomaly detector, generating a standard deviation vector that comprises a standard deviation for each element position of the Fourier component vectors in a respective element position of the standard deviation vector with the anomaly detector, generating a host standard deviation vector for each host that comprises a deviation of each element of the Fourier component vector of that host from a respective element of the mean value vector by a number of standard deviations read from a respective element of the standard deviation vector with the anomaly detector, determining, with the anomaly detector, an anomalous host of the plurality of hosts from the host standard deviation vectors when at least one threshold is exceeded in the host standard deviation vectors, and causing an indication for the anomalous host to be sent by the anomaly detector.
