A multispectral sensor which includes a complementary metal oxide semiconductor substrate having a switching circuit, at least one antenna-receiving combination device for detecting terahertz radiation, at least one additional bolometer for detecting mid-range infrared radiation, and at least one diode for detecting radiation in the visible to near-infrared range. A multispectral imaging and/or spectroscopy system, a method for detecting and/or examining life forms, objects, and materials using such a system, and the use of such a sensor and system are also described.

Multispectral sensor

A device is described for igniting an air-fuel mixture in an internal combustion engine using a high-frequency electric power source having a coaxial waveguide structure () into which the high-frequency electric power may be coupled and whose one end protrudes into the individual combustion chamber of a cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The one end of the coaxial waveguide structure () is designed as an igniter () in such a way that, when a voltage potential is applied, a field structure (), protruding into the combustion chamber, and thus a free-standing plasma in the air-fuel mixture at the inner conductor (), projecting from the waveguide structure, is generatable via an abrupt and/or smooth cross-section change () of the inner conductor () and/or the outer conductor ().

Device for igniting an air-fuel mixture in an internal combustion engine by means of a high frequency electric energy source

A system for wireless data transmission between a stationary transmitting/reception device and a rotating body, e.g., a vehicle wheel, having secondary antennas, is provided. A plurality of stationary primary antennas are coupled to the stationary transmitting/reception device, and a plurality of secondary antennas are positioned along a circumference of the rotating body. Amongst the plurality of primary antennas, at least one primary antenna is provided for transmitting electrical energy to the secondary antennas, and at least one other primary antenna is provided for communications with the secondary antennas. In this manner, data transmission independent of the speed of the rotating body and the position of the secondary antennas is achieved.

A device, using which signals and energy may be transmitted without contact between an electrical device on or in the vehicle body and an electrical device on or in a vehicle seat, reliable signal and energy transmission being ensured even in the event of frequent changes of the seating configuration, without the vehicle user having to take special precautions for this purpose. The two electrical devices are each assigned a transmission module. These transmission modules form a high-frequency wireless transmission path. The transmission module on or in the vehicle body is integrated into the rail system for the vehicle seat, while the transmission module on or in the seat may be coupled into the rail system in such a way that the signal and/or energy transmission occurs via the displacement current generated in the rail system.

An integrated semiconductor circuit including a substrate and at least one microwave circuit area supported by a substrate is provided, at least one cooling area supported by the substrate being provided for cooling the microwave circuit area, the at least one cooling area having electric contacts and regions having different types of doping so that cooling may be accomplished by the Peltier effect.
