A smart demonstration apparatus that enhances the experience of customers, merchants, and others with electronic devices is described herein. The smart demonstration apparatus may include components that assist merchants in demonstrating and selling electronic devices, assist customers in acquiring and using electronic devices and assist service providers in managing the demonstration, acquisition and use of electronic devices. The smart demonstration apparatus may also include other components that provide a variety of other functionality. The smart demonstration apparatus may be placed at a merchant's location where an electronic device is offered for acquisition or may be placed at other locations. A service provider may communicate with the smart demonstration apparatus to enhance the experience of customers, merchants, and others with electronic devices.

Various embodiments of a system and method for generating a visual display indicating the status of multiple shipping loads are described. The embodiments described herein may include one or more displays and a display control component configured to control the displays. In various embodiments, the display control component may track items (e.g., freight, inventory, etc.) shipped to a materials handling facility and generate a display to visually indicate the various statuses as a graphical representation. As described in more detail herein, such a display may provide agents with greater visibility into the various processes performed in the materials handling facility. To do so, the various displays under the control of the display control component may in some embodiments be strategically located within the materials handling facility. For instance, such displays may be present in inbound and outbound docking areas in the presence of one or more agents.

A method and system for anticipatory package shipping are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a method may include packaging one or more items as a package for eventual shipment to a delivery address, selecting a destination geographical area to which to ship the package, shipping the package to the destination geographical area without completely specifying the delivery address at time of shipment, and while the package is in transit, completely specifying the delivery address for the package.

Various embodiments of a system and method for stow management of similar items are described. Various embodiments may include a control system and/or an electronic stow component configured to determine whether a bin is eligible to stow a unit of a particular item. For instance, an agent tasked with stowing items as inventory in a materials handling facility may use such electronic stow component and/or the control system to determine whether a bin is eligible to stow a unit of a particular item. For instance, the electronic stow component may identify a bin to evaluate, identify a unit of a particular item, and determine whether the bin is eligible to store the unit of the particular item according to various methods and techniques for preventing the stowage of like items in nearby bins.
