Weight for a vehicle

A folding vehicle passenger seat for agricultural or industrial utility vehicles, includes a seat member which can be pivoted from a seated position to a position folded upward. A sliding bearing mechanism is coupled to the rear portion of the seat member so that the seat member can be guided in a sliding motion and so that the seat member can pivot about an axis. When the seat member is folded upward the sliding bearing mechanism slides downward from an upper position along the guide and simultaneously rotates relative to the guide.

Folding vehicle seat

A storage container includes an attachment device for detachably mounting the storage container to a utility vehicle. The attachment device includes a mounting bar and a pair of bolts or support elements. The mounting bar projects rearwardly from a rear wall, and includes a vertically extending mounting bores. The bolts projects rearwardly from the rear wall of the container by an adjustable distance. In order to mount the storage container to the front of the vehicle, the mounting bar is inserted into jaw-like hitch recess of a towing attachment of vehicle. A pin is inserted through vertical bores of the towing attachment and through the mounting bore of the mounting bar.

Storage container attachment device

A wall unit forms a part of the outer wall of a vehicle cab. In order to simplify the accommodation of electrical components in the vehicle cab and to reduce the cost of wiring, the wall unit is configured as a pre-assembled module, which includes a support structure on which electrical components, such as vehicle function controllers, fuses and relays, are fastened. The electrical components are at least partially covered by enclosure elements. The electrical components can be electrically connected with corresponding vehicle component groups via connectors.

Pre-assembled wall unit for a vehicle cab

A hydro-pneumatic axle spring suspension system for the driven axle of an agricultural utility vehicle, in particular for the front axle of an agricultural tractor, is described, which contains at least one hydraulic cylinder arranged between the vehicle chassis and axle body. The rod end chamber and the piston end chamber of the hydraulic cylinder are each connected with at least one accumulator. Furthermore a valve circuit supplied by a hydraulic pump is provided for the control of the level, which controls the pressure of the accumulators as a function of the load on the axle body. To improve the operating and spring characteristics of the utility vehicle it is proposed that the mechanical and hydraulic components be designed for a spring suspension under maximum load of the axle body. The valve circuit is configured and controlled in such a way that in the accumulators an adequate pressure is constantly maintained in order to make possible a spring suspension of the axle body under all load and operating conditions of the vehicle.

Hydro-pneumatic driven axle suspension

A control mechanism is coupled to a gearshift lever which is adapted to control a reversing gearbox having neutral, forward and reverse operational modes. The control mechanism includes a pivot lever which is connected to the gearshift lever and which is pivoted about a first stationary axis, a reset lever which is pivoted about a second stationary axis, a resetting element which is connected to the reset lever and a spring which urges the reset lever into a neutral position. The pivot and reset levers are slidably and rotatably coupled to each other so that a buckling of the pivot and reset levers from their neutral position against the force of the spring is possible. A detent mechanism permits the levers to remain in their buckled position against the bias of the spring.

Control mechanism for a gearbox

A vehicle gearbox has a rotatable actuator shaft having forward, neutral and reverse positions corresponding to forward, neutral and reverse operational modes of the gearbox. A control mechanism includes a first control lever operatively coupled to the actuator shaft for selecting a forward, neutral or reverse mode of the gearbox, a locking lever operable to actuate a parking lock, a second control lever coupled to the locking lever to control engagement and disengagement of the parking lock, and a device responsive to the second control lever for placing the gearbox in neutral when the parking lock is engaged. The device includes an actuator lever non-rotatably fixed to and extending radially from the actuator shaft and linkages coupled between the locking lever and the actuator lever for moving the actuator shaft into its neutral position when the parking lock is engaged.

Park/neutral gearbox control mechanism

An axle suspension suspends a rigid axle body from a frame of a vehicle. The suspension has a pivot bearing for pivotally supporting the axle body, a spring arrangement for resiliently coupling the axle body to the frame, a thrust arm extending in a longitudinal direction between the axle body and the frame, and a steering arm extending generally horizontally and transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The steering arm has one end connected to the frame and a second end connected by the pivot bearing to the axle body. The axle body supports rotatable wheels. According to the present invention, the suspension includes a pivot stop between the axle body and the vehicle frame. The pivot stop is coupled to the axle at a first joint which is spaced apart from a pivot axis of the axle, and coupled to the frame at a second joint. The line connecting the two joints extends generally parallel to the main axis of the axle body. During pivoting of the axle body about the pivot axis, and during spring deflection, in which the distance between the axle body and the vehicle chassis varies, the joints move with respect to each other. The pivot stop primarily limits the axial distance between the two joints and thereby limits the pivoting angle range of the axle body. Preferably, a line connecting the two joints extends generally horizontally and transverse to the fore-and-aft axis of the vehicle.

Pivoting spring-mounted axle suspension

A ventilating system for a vehicle cab includes a blower which draws fresh air from the exterior of the cab into the interior of the cab. A filter housing is inserted generally transverse to the direction of air flow through a service opening in the ventilating system into the channel through which the fresh air flows. The filter housing encloses a fresh air filter. The blower also draws recirculating air from the interior of the cab through a recirculating air intake opening and blows it back through a recirculating air filter into the cab through an outlet opening. The recirculating air filter is also mounted in the filter housing. A filter insert includes a filter housing which contains the fresh air filter and the recirculating air filter, which are adjacent each other on either side of a separating wall, fresh air and recirculating air are separately filtered.

Vehicle cab ventilating system

A supplementary weight for ballasting a vehicle can be adapted to be hooked onto a carrier component. The weight includes an entry opening which is bordered by an upper leg and a lower leg. The upper leg is supported on the carrier component which projects into the entry opening. Generally vertical bores extend in the upper leg and the lower leg, and the leg bores are aligned with a corresponding vertical bore in the carrier component. An attaching bolt is received by these bores when the weight is mounted on the carrier component. The attaching bolt has a head, a shank and a threaded section. The attaching bolt is screwed into an axially movable tensioning device which is mounted inside the lower leg, thus clamping the carrier component to the upper leg.

Supplementary weight for a vehicle

A supplementary weight for ballasting a work vehicle includes locating pins which project therefrom. The weight has a pin bore which receives the locating pins and the locating pins are at least partially retractable into the weight. The supplementary weight is preferably comprised of a plurality of partial weights, each having a pin bore extending therethrough, and a central tube is received by the pin bores and couples the partial weights together, the locating pins being adjustably mounted in the central tube. A central tube extends through the pin bore which extends through the supplementary weight, and clamping devices are attached to ends of the central tube for clamping the supplementary weight on the central tube. Recesses are formed in outer side surfaces of the supplementary weight and the clamping devices are located at least partially within the recesses.

Supplementary weight for vehicle ballasting

A mounting arrangement is provided for mounting the air cleaner for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle. The air cleaner generally includes a casing having air inlet and outlet openings and an open side, a pot-shaped housing containing a filter element and having an open side selectively attachable to the open side of the casing. The mounting arrangement provides two substantially parallel and horizontal rods upon which the air cleaner can be placed. The air cleaner can be held to the rods by a variety of techniques, including hooks and guide rings. The mounting structure allows the housing to be detached and slid away from the casing for cleaning or replacement of the filter element, then be accurately realigned with the casing so that an accurate seal can be engaged.

Mounting arrangement for an air cleaner

An enclosure for a vehicle engine, particularly for a agricultural or industrial vehicle, includes a cover such as a hood, a front grill and side shields, to cover the engine and possibly additional vehicle components. The enclosure includes a rigid frame which can be pre-assembled along with vehicle accessories and then attached to a part of the vehicle during final vehicle assembly, at which time the enclosing parts can also be attached. The frame can be attached to the vehicle by means of shock absorbing mounts to reduce the transmission of vibrations and torsion to the enclosure assembly. The frame is supported at essentially three spots to reduce the transmission of torsion to the enclosure assembly.

Enclosure for vehicle engine compartment

A suction air filter for a combustion engine includes a filter housing for receiving a filter insert and an attachment housing to which the filter housing is attached. The filter housing has a coupling end for coupling with a corresponding coupling end of the attachment housing. The suction air filter has an unfiltered air intake and a pure air outlet. A plurality of cam members are mounted on the outside of the filter housing near the coupling end thereof, and a plurality of cam elements are mounted on the outside of the attachment housing near the coupling end thereof. A rotatable coupling ring is mounted to receive the coupling ends of the filter housing and the attachment housing, and the coupling ring carries wedge members which are engagable with the cam members and the cam elements to releasably couple together the coupling ends of the housings. Dust protection shoulders or labyrinth seals are provided on both sides of the coupling ring to prevent dust from penetrating in the closure area of the attachment portion and the housing. A turning of the coupling ring effects a fixing of the filter housing to the attachment housing.

Suction air filter for combustion engines

A ventilating arrangement for a vehicle cab draws air in from outside the cab through the cab roof. The air flows through at least one generally vertical air duct downward to the vicinity of the cab floor, and supplied from there to various outlets in the interior of the cab. In order to allow use of air filters with relatively large filter area and as convenient accessibility for easy replacement, a filter housing is connected to the lower region of each generally vertical air duct. Each filter housing encloses an air filter that is accessible from the exterior of the cab. The filter is oriented in a generally vertical direction. Preferably, each corner post of the cab is provided with an air duct which is connected to a filter housing attached to the inner fenders of the rear wheels. Each filter housing is closed by a removable cover accessible from the rear of the vehicle.
