Embodiments for port reconfiguration for passive intermodulation interference mitigation are presented herein. A base station device comprises a signal processing component comprising a passive intermodulation interference component and an antenna configuration component. The passive intermodulation interference component determines passive intermodulation interference corresponding to uplink signals that have been received, via a configurable cellular antenna array of the base station device, from respective wireless devices of a group of wireless devices that have been communicatively coupled to the base station device. The antenna configuration component selects a defined configuration of a group of cellular antenna ports of the configurable cellular antenna array to facilitate a reduction of the passive intermodulation interference corresponding to the uplink signals.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing a request associated with a call session to a server, wherein the request includes capability information associated with user equipment. A codec is identified according to the capability information to obtain an identified codec, which facilitates media service to the user equipment. Method and apparatus for providing media resources in a communication network

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining from a transport protocol message, capability information associated with user equipment associated with a call session, determining a first codec to provide a first media service to the user equipment associated with the call session according to the capability information, and responsive to determining the first codec, searching a codec table to obtain a first resource identifier associated with a first media resource function to provide the first media service according to the first codec. If the first resource identifier associated with the first codec is not available at the codec table, accessing the first resource identifier associated with the first media resource function from a domain name server and, in turn, transmitting a first request to the first media resource function to provide the first media service to the user equipment associated with the call session. The method also includes sending the at least one executable security object to the network device via the security manager processor to provide a protective security measure to the network device against the at least one detected security issue upon execution of the at least one executable security object.

A method includes receiving an indication of at least one detected security issue at a network device. The indication is received from a security agent at a security manager processor. The method includes polling, via the security manager processor, at least one other network device in response to the indication in order to retrieve additional information when the security manager processor determines that the additional information is needed. Methods and apparatus to perform quality testing in Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia subsystem (IMS) based communication systems are disclosed. An example IMS-based system comprises a web portal to allow a user to configure quality testing for a user endpoint and to present results of the quality testing, a test server to exchange packets with the user endpoint to perform the testing, an IMS application server to implement a state machine to establish a test session between the test server and a test module of the user endpoint, the packets to be exchanged between the test server and the test module via the session, and a data analyzer to determine one or more parameters representative of performance of the session based on the exchanged packets, and to provide the same to the web portal, the web portal to present information representative of the one or more parameters to the user.

A method can be used to route a communication within a network. The method can include receiving a first communication at a first edge router, wherein the first communication is a Layer 2 communication. The method can also include determining that the first communication has a destination that includes a first multicast group and a second multicast group different from the first multicast group. The method can also include encapsulating the first communication within a second communication, wherein the second communication is a Layer 3 communication, and wherein the second communication is a single communication. The method can further include sending the second communication towards the first multicast group and the second multicast group. A system can be configured to carry out the method.

Method and system of routing a communication within a network
