A method for delivering liquid into the pores of recipient human skin is provided. The method comprises delivering, via a nozzle, at least one stream of the liquid under pressure to the pores, the stream having a cross-section with a diameter no greater than about 50 &#x3bc;m, applying a negative pressure across an area of the skin being treated, rotating the nozzle relative to the area at a speed up to about 200 revolutions per minute, contacting an electrode connected to a first terminal of a power source, having a first electric charge, to the skin, and contacting a second terminal of the power source, having a second electric charge, opposite the first electric charge, to the liquid, thereby imparting an electrical current between about 0.2 mA and 0.3 mA to the skin in the vicinity of the pores. The delivering, applying, rotating, and contactings occur simultaneously.

Method and system for delivering solution into the pores of recipient human skin

The present invention relates to a device for abrading or cleansing tissue. The device includes a gas inlet port connected to a pressurized gas source, and a liquid inlet port connected to a pressurized liquid source. There is, additionally, a mist jet delivery nozzle arrangement, which includes one or more gas discharge nozzles arranged to receive a flow of pressurized gas from the gas inlet port and configured to accelerate the flow of gas so as to discharge it at an elevated velocity. Further, there are one or more liquid discharge nozzles arranged to receive a flow of liquid from the liquid inlet port and operative to discharge the flow of liquid into the elevated velocity flow of gas, thereby to similarly accelerate the velocity of the discharged liquid as a mist of accelerated droplets.

High velocity liquid-gas mist tissue abrasion device

The present invention is a method of dermal abrasion, that includes exposing a source of sterile liquid to a flow of pressurized gas, thereby causing a pumped supply thereof into a fluid delivery head ( ); supplying the pressurized gas to the fluid delivery head; combining the gas, and liquid ( ) supplied to the delivery head; this fluid delivery head having a fluid outlet ( ) with a predetermined internal diameter ( ), so as to provide a gas-liquid outflow in the form of a sterile liquid mist jet suspended in a high velocity gas stream; and exposing to the mist jet, at a preselected distance from the fluid outlet, a portion of the skin surface ( ) sought to be abraded, thereby separating therefrom at least a portion of the epidermis ( ), and removing therefrom the resulting tissue debris.

Dermal abrasion

An apparatus employing liquid and gas as working fluids for cleansing living tissue includes a container for a sterile liquid and a fluid delivery head having a liquid entry port, a gas entry port, a fluid outlet apparatus and a valve located between the entry ports and the fluid outlet apparatus. The valve selectively permits respective liquid and gas flows from the entry ports to the fluid outlet apparatus. A liquid conduit extends between a liquid inlet located within the container and a liquid outlet connected to the liquid entry port of the delivery head. A gas conduit extends between a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The gas inlet is connected to a source of pressurized gas and the gas outlet is connected to the gas entry port of the delivery head. The gas conduit is connected to the container via an intermediate outlet port. Also provided is an apparatus for selectively exposing the source of sterile liquid to a flow pressurized gas flowing from the gas inlet to the gas outlet and into the gas entry port of the fluid delivery head in order to pump the sterile liquid along the liquid conduit from the inlet to the outlet and into the liquid entry port of the fluid delivery head.
