The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing processing data to a numerically controlled machine tool (), comprising: providing processing data (S) to a data processing device (), wherein the processing data comprises numeric control data, in particular one or more NC programs, on the basis of which a processing of a workpiece on the numerically controlled machine tool () can be carried out; specifying encryption specifications (S) on the data processing device (), which indicate specifications for encrypting the processing data and/or the execution data; specifying authentication specifications (S) on the data processing device (), which indicate specifications for authentication of the numerical machine tool and/or of an operator of the machine tool; specifying execution specifications (S) on the data processing device (), which indicate specifications for the machining of the workpiece on the numerically controlled machine tool; generating execution data (S) on the basis of the specified execution specifications, wherein the execution data comprises the processing data; and encrypting the execution data (S) on the basis of the encryption specifications; providing or transmitting (S) the generated execution data to a control device () of the numerically controlled machine tool ().

Method and system for protecting execution data and/or processing data of a machine tool

A method and system simulates a work process on a machine tool using a virtual machine. The virtual machine is set up to simulate the work process on the machine tool using machine data, workpiece data, and tool data as a function of numerical control (NC) control data and programmable logic control (PLC) control data. The work process is simulated on a platform that comprises a plurality of processor cores, wherein the work process is simulated in partial simulations that run in parallel on different processor cores.
