A disrupter unit is used for explosive ordnance disposal by firing a slug into the ordnance to be destroyed. A method is shown to secure the disrupter unit to a sand bag or other stationary location during such firing of the disrupter unit. The present invention may also adapt the disrupter unit to shear wire, such as barbed wire, by attaching a wire cutter element to the disrupter unit through a robust cable during firing. Likewise, the disrupter unit may be used as a remote pull device or further to unearth a buried item via mechanical advantage, wherein a military shovel or another long rod is attached by a robust cable to the disrupter unit.

A device which permits two additional tools to be attached to the robot arm of a Talon&#xae; robot with remote operation of these same tools, from the existing operator control unit. The invention permits an operator to merely carry two tools down range while preserving full use of the robot's gripper, and then allow an operator to remotely use those two tools. These do not increase the amount of space the robot occupies, and still allow for continued use of existing equipment.

A new apparatus and method for delivering sterile irrigating solution to dental sites during restorative and surgical procedures is disclosed. A new sterilizable handpiece line adapter is connected between prior art dental handpieces and dental unit air-water hoses. The handpiece line adapter includes an input port for sterile irrigating solution and an outlet port for the sterile irrigating solution replacing a prior art outlet port for tap water. A standard IV bag containing sterile irrigating solution is pressurized with a standard infuser bag. Standard IV tubing connects the IV bag to the input port of the line adapter. An air-controlled, normally-closed pinch valve girdles part of the IV tubing. The pinch valve is connected to a spare outlet of a standard foot pedal controlled dental unit so that, when the foot pedal is depressed to operate the dental handpiece, the pinch valve automatically opens to allow delivery of sterile irrigating solution from the IV bag.
