An electric motor is provided. The motor is mountable to a machine. The motor includes a rotor rotatable about an axis, a stator, a housing, and a fastener. The housing includes a first endshield and a controller can, with the stator being positioned axially between the endshield and the can. The fastener extends through and interconnects the first endshield, the stator, and the can. The fastener projects axially beyond at least one of the first endshield and the can for connection to the machine.

Motor with sealed controller housing

A motor or generator assembly including a motor or generator machine and mounting structure supporting the machine on an appliance is provided. The machine presents an axially extending, radially outermost circumferential face and a pair of axially spaced apart, radially projecting axial margins. The mounting structure includes a pair of at least substantially radially extending plates and a base configured for connection to the appliance. The plates extend at least in part adjacent respective ones of the axial margins and at least in part define a machine-receiving space therebetween. The machine is mounted on the brackets so as to be positioned at least in part in the machine-receiving space. The base is positioned at least substantially radially outside the circumferential face of the machine and presents a pair of axially spaced apart side faces, with each of the plates being secured against a respective one of the side faces.

Mounting base for motor/generator

A motor comprising a rotor, a stator, a motor shell, a pair of motor endshields, and a controller housing is provided. The rotor is rotatable about an axis. The stator presents opposite axial ends. The motor shell extends around the axis to at least partly circumscribe the rotor and stator. Each motor endshield is positioned adjacent a respective one of the stator ends and provides support for the rotor. The fastener extends through and interconnects the stator and endshields. The controller housing defines an electronics compartment positioned radially outside the motor shell. The controller housing includes a connector that receives the fastener so as to fix the controller housing to the stator and endshields.

An air conditioning (A/C) system includes a condenser and an electric motor that drives a fan to induce air flow through the condenser. The electric motor includes an internal stator assembly and an external rotor assembly rotatable about the internal stator assembly. A housing is attached to the external rotor assembly. The fan is connected to the housing.

Low profile condenser motor

A grommet is provided for insertion into a hole defined through and surrounded by a housing wall of an electrical device through which one or more electrical connectors exit. The grommet generally includes first and second legs connected by a connecting portion. The first and second legs have flange portions and lip portions extending outwardly from the first and second leg's end portions generally opposite the connecting portion. The flange and lip portions collectively define at least one groove for receiving a portion of the housing wall. The grommet also includes a slit extending at least partially between the first and second legs, and at least one aperture for engagingly receiving at least one electrical connector therethrough. The grommet, when engaged with the hole, seals against the housing wall and the electrical connector within the aperture to thereby inhibit the ingress of moisture through the hole.

A self-locking wiring grommet that is inserted into a notch at an edge of a clamshell housing of an electrical device has a pair of resilient arms that flex toward each other as the grommet is inserted into the notch and then spring outwardly away from each other to engage with a perimeter flange at the edge of the housing to hold the grommet in the housing notch without the need for separate fasteners.

A grommet is attachable over an opening in an enclosure wall of an electrical device to protect electrical conductors passing through the opening. The grommet has a twist lock conduit connector that can be attached over an opening in the enclosure wall of the electrical device without the need for separate fasteners. The grommet protects the insulation of electrical conductors passing through the opening of the enclosure wall, seals the opening from its exterior environment, and provides a connection outside the enclosure wall for the attachment of a length of conduit through which the electrical conductors are passed.
