Devices, kits and methods are used for wound healing, including but not limited to the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids, and include packaging, manipulation elements, applicator and/or tensioning device that are used to apply and/or maintain a strain in an elastic dressing.

Controlled strain skin treatment devices and methods

An applicator device () is provided for applying a patch () having an array of microprotrusions () to the stratum corneum. The applicator device () includes a device body () and a piston moveable within the device body (). A cap () is provided on the device body () for activating the device () to impact the stratum corneum with a microprotrusion array (). The device () is capable of being cocked by one handed operation of the user which allows the device () to be used by patients having neither the strength nor the manual dexterity to cock other types of applicator devices.

Microblade array impact applicator

A license detector system enables a person such as a police officer to monitor vehicles on the road to ensure drivers have valid licenses. Within each valid license is an RFID tag which contains specific information and each RFID tag is able to send that information to a detector when requested. To use the system, the police officer aims the detector at a vehicle, initiates the signal to be received by the RFID tag within the license and waits to receive a signal back from the RFID tag. If a signal is received, then a valid license has been detected within the vehicle. However, if no signal or an invalid signal is received by the detector, then no one, specifically the driver of the car, has a valid license. Upon discovering such information, the police officer should be justified in stopping the vehicle and taking the necessary police action.
