A device for forming a sheet pile in a delivery of a sheet-fed printing press includes jogging plates for jogging edges of the sheet. The jogging plates are disposed perpendicularly to a lateral surface of the sheet pile and are drivable so as to move in a stationary sheet guide and to a sheet stop, respectively. The jogging plates are elastically suspended, without any other guide elements, in at least one of the stationary sheet guides and the sheet stop. An oscillation exciter is connected to each of the jogging plates for respectively oscillating and vibrating the jogging plates independently of a cycle of the delivery.

Device for contactless guidance of sheetlike material being dragged along a travel path, the device having a guide surface member extending spaced from the travel path and being provided with air-blowing nozzles, includes a guide zone formed in the guide surface member wherein the air-blowing nozzles are disposed in a manner that a common flow pattern or gap flow formed during guidance of the sheetlike material is determined essentially by a first velocity component in a direction of motion of the material along the travel path and by a second and a third velocity component directed towards two side edges, respectively, of the travel path, the second velocity component being associated with one of the side edges and the third velocity component being associated with the other of the side edge.

Device for contactless guidance of sheetlike material

A sheet turning device including a turning drum for turning over stock or a print carrier received in an ideal path of motion from a storage drum in a recto/verso or first-form and perfector printing process is in combination with a sheet-metal guide having a surface member formed with air outlet openings for floatingly guiding the stock or the print carrier, the surface member being disposed so as to face a printed side of the stock or the print carrier below the turning drum and extending in a direction towards the storage drum.
