A seat back assembly including a frame formed of a low density material such as expanded polypropylene (EPP) and a reinforcement structure encapsulated within the frame is provided. The reinforcement structure includes a load transferring surface extending between opposite ends of the seat back. Each end of the reinforcement structure is secured to a vehicle body structure. The reinforcement structure transfers a load placed upon the seat back assembly throughout the frame so as to maintain the structural integrity of the frame under a predetermined load. Specifically, the load transferring surface of the reinforcement structure is in contact with the frame and transfers the load across a predetermined area of the frame and to the vehicle body.

Seat back assembly with integral reinforcement structure

A cover conceals a portion of a gap formed between an adjacent pair of seat backs of a motor vehicle seat assembly. The cover includes a substantially rigid portion and a substantially flexible portion. The flexible portion of the cover has first and second flanges that extend outwardly from opposite sides of the substantially rigid portion for concealing a portion of the gap between the seat backs of the seat assembly.

Side shield for motor vehicle seat assembly

A reinforced trim panel assembly secured to a body panel for a vehicle includes a first trim panel member adjacent to a second trim panel member along a first seam. A reinforcement bracket is disposed between the trim panel members and the vehicle body panels, and is positioned over the first seam and secured to each of the first trim panel member and the second trim panel member using a fastening means. The reinforcement bracket absorbs a force from an impact to the trim panel assembly to prevent separation of the first seam.

Reinforced door trim panel

A mounting bracket assembly for supporting a sun shade visor to a vehicle includes a bracket having hooks and a center boss. A circular aperture and slots are formed in the headliner to receive the hooks and boss. The end of the rod supporting the visor has a finger extending radially outwardly to engage an abutment portion in the boss. The rod is inserted into the bracket and pivoted within the bracket to move the finger against the abutment surface. The bracket is inserted into the slots and the aperture of the headliner and the visor is twisted to move the hooks into engagement with the headliner.
