An axial fan assembly includes a hub, a plurality of connection structures, and a plurality of isolated members. The hub is rotatable about an axis of rotation and includes a radially extending face and a cylindrical portion extending axially from the face. The face includes a radially inner face portion and a radially outer face portion. The plurality of connection structures extends radially inwardly from the radially outer face portion and extends radially outward from the radially inner face portion. The plurality of isolated members extends radially outwardly from the radially inner face portion and is isolated from the plurality of connection structures and from the radially outer face portion by a plurality of slots.

Vibration isolating engine cooling fan

An axial flow fan includes a hub rotatable about a central axis. The hub includes a front face and a cylindrical portion. A plurality of apertures is provided in the front face of the hub, each aperture at least partially defined by a first surface oriented non-parallel with the front face. A plurality of ribs is provided, each rib aligned with one of the plurality of apertures such that a free edge of the rib at least partially overlaps the respective one of the plurality of apertures. The fan further includes a plurality of lips, each lip coupled to the front face of the hub and aligned with one of the plurality of apertures that is not aligned with one of the plurality of ribs, each lip having a second surface, adjacent the first surface of a respective aperture, that at least partially overlaps the respective aperture.

Axial flow fan with hub isolation slots

An axial flow fan includes a hub rotatable about a central axis. The hub includes a front face and a cylindrical portion. The axial flow fan also includes a plurality of blades extending radially outwardly from the cylindrical portion of the hub, and an aperture through the front face of the hub. The aperture is at least partially defined by a first surface oriented non-parallel with the front face. The axial flow fan further includes a lip having a second surface adjacent the first surface that at least partially overlaps the aperture and provides a tortuous passageway through the aperture.

An electrical machine having at least four exciter poles in the stator and having a commutator rotor, which has a number of slots pole teeth on its circumference that is greater than the number of exciter poles, and having twice as large a number of commutator laminations, which via at least two carbon brushes serve to supply current to coils which are each wound on one of the pole teeth, and contact bridges each joined together diametrically opposed laminations. When there is an even number of slots, pole teeth and coils, the beginning and end of one coil of the coils disposed on adjacent pole teeth is connected directly to the laminations adjacent to one another, and the beginning and end of the other coil is connected via one of the contact bridges to the laminations adjacent to one another.
