A circuit breaker is disclosed for interrupting an electrical circuit when current limit values are exceeded. The circuit-breaker includes a current sensor for determining the electrical current flow and a control device. When current limit values are exceeded, the electrical circuit is interrupted. A first current limit value, when exceeded, results in an immediate interruption and a second current limit value, when exceeded, results in a time-delayed interruption, such that the second interruption time reduces as the current increases. Only one control element is included for setting a current limit value. The element defining the second current limit value is included for the time-delayed interruption of the electrical circuit. The other parameters are either set in a fixed manner and/or are related to the settable second current limit value.

Configurable circuit-breaker

An electrical protective arrangement for an electrical installation has a fault current protection apparatus with a detection device for sensing a fault current and an evaluation device for comparing the sensed fault current with a threshold value. A tripping signal is output by the evaluation device if the sensed fault current exceeds the threshold value. A communication module is configured to send fault current data with information pertaining to the sensed fault current and to receive operating data for setting an operating state for the evaluation device.

Electrical protective arrangement for an electrical installation, and associated method

A compact residual current protection device is connected to a circuit breaker or a load break switch for external tripping and includes a detection device for detecting a residual current and a tripping device which is actuable by the detection device for tripping the circuit breaker as a result of actuation by the tripping device. A connection device is connected to the tripping device for connecting a switching device. The detection device and the tripping device are constructed in such a way that the tripping device is able to be tripped through the connection device by the switching device independently of the detection device. An electrical protection configuration is also provided.

An arcing chamber assembly is described having two side walls, a contact compression spring, a contact link, a slide which can be mounted one behind the other in the interior of the arcing chamber assembly, just by stacking them from one side. For this purpose, the arcing chamber assembly includes a passage, whose length is at least equal to the length of the contact link on the component supply side.
