A method of controlling an operation of energy storage systems of a wind park is provided. The wind park includes a plurality of energy storage systems each of which is associated with a wind turbine comprised by the wind park. Further, each of the plural energy storage systems is configured to be operable to provide electrical energy to an auxiliary system of the associated wind turbine. The method includes obtaining for each of the energy storage systems storage system state information indicating an availability of the energy storage system to store and/or provide electrical energy and operating the plural energy storage systems as a combined energy storage system based on the obtained storage system state information. The method further includes controlling the providing of electrical energy from the combined energy storage system and/or the storing of electrical energy in the combined energy storage system.

Control of energy storage systems

Provided is controller for a wind turbine including a power controller unit for controlling a power output of an electric generator included in the wind turbine. The power controller unit operates the electric generator according to a speed reference value and a power reference value, the speed reference value and a power reference value being chosen along a linear operating trajectory in a power vs speed graph, the linear operating trajectory including a point corresponding to the nominal power and the nominal generator speed. The power controller unit includes a slider command for selecting the angular position of the linear operating trajectory in the power vs speed graph.

Controller for a wind turbine

An automatic adjustment system for a variable-speed wind turbine is provided, having a power vector generator for generating a power vector (P) of wind turbine output power; a mapping unit for establishing relationships (&#x3b2;, &#x3c9;) between wind turbine output power and rotational speed and pitch angle on the basis of the power vector (P) and an operational trajectory of the wind turbine; a wind speed estimator for estimating a wind speed (v); an available power calculator for calculating the available power (P) of the wind turbine on the basis of the estimated wind speed (v) and the established relationships (&#x3b2;, &#x3c9;). A method of performing automatic analysis of a wind turbine configuration, a computer program product for carrying out the steps of such a method, and a wind turbine having such an automatic adjustment system are also provided.

System for automatic power estimation adjustment

A method is provided for controlling a power network that includes a plurality of power generation facilities connected to an electricity grid and a plurality of power storage facilities connected to the power generation facilities. The method includes monitoring a production capacity of the power generation facilities, monitoring a storage capacity of the power storage facilities and determining an optimal facility control plan on the basis of the storage capacity and the production capacity. The method further includes operating the power network, according to the facility control plan, to feed power from the power generation facilities into the electricity grid and/or to transfer power from the power generation facilities to the power storage facilities and/or to consume power from the power storage facilities.

Method of controlling a power network

A method of operating a wind park having a plurality of wind turbines is provided. The method includes determining a grid condition indicator indicative of the condition of a grid into which the wind park feeds; determining a first maximum power value of the wind park on the basis of the grid condition indicator; determining an operating margin on the basis of the grid condition indicator, for a grid condition indicator indicative of a weak grid; determining a second maximum power value on the basis of the operating margin; and curtailing the active power output of the wind park according to a maximum power value. Method of operating a wind park

A control system for controlling a set point of an individual power output of each wind turbine. The wind turbines are grouped into a plurality of groups of wind turbines and each group associated to a sub control unit. A main control unit is adapted to determine a set point for a total power output of each group based on a reference set point for an overall power output of the wind park and on data being indicative for current characteristics of the wind park and adapted to distribute the determined set points between the sub control units via main control signals being provided to the sub control units. Each main control signal is indicative for the set point. Each sub control unit is adapted to determine a set point for an individual power output.

Wind park control system

A method of controlling a power plant connected at a point of connection to an electricity grid is provided. The power plant includes a power production facility connected to a power storage facility. The method includes determining a reactive power grid demand and/or voltage grid demand of the electricity grid, obtaining operating data for the power plant facilities, computing reactive power and/or voltage references for the power plant facilities on the basis of the grid demands and the operating data, and operating the power plant facilities on the basis of the references such that a net reactive power and/or a net voltage at the point of connection fulfills a grid demand. A plant controller for controlling a power plant is also provided. A power plant including power production facilities connected to power storage facilities, and the plant controller using the method is also provided.

Method of controlling a power plant

The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a wind farm, the wind farm includes at least two wind turbines, the method includes determining the required power, determining fatigue load versus power curves for each wind turbine, and based on the determined fatigue load versus power curves attributing different power settings to the wind turbines such that sum of the power settings of all wind turbines is equal to the required power. Furthermore, the invention concerns a park controller for controlling a wind farm and a program element for controlling a wind farm.
