A system for line-conducted digital telecommunication between a switching exchange of a telecommunication network and a subscriber connected to this network is provided. The digital transmission path passes to a transfer point accessible for the subscriber, to which the subscriber may connect his devices by free choice up to the full use of the maximum available transfer rate. The activation of the particular transfer rates are controllable by the switching exchange.

System for line-conducted digital data telecommunications

A system is disclosed, which operates with active units for the line-conducted, digital transmission of communications between the exchange of a telecommunication network and subscribers connected thereto. At least one cross connector, operating with active electrical components, is connected to the exchange by a line containing at least one optical and/or electric transmission element. At least two distribution terminals, operating with active electrical components, are connected to the cross connector by a line containing at least one optical and/or electric transmission element. At least one subscriber is connected by an electrical line to the distribution terminals, which are always installed near a subscriber.

System and method for line-conducted digital communication

The PC-boards are contained in sealed enclosures, and serially effective heat pipe systems conduct thermal energy from the respective sources of development (e.g., power transmitters) to the top and from there to a heat pump system. Stacking such units and operating the heat transfer partially in parallel is disclosed.

Heat-producing elements with heat pipes

A cable splice, tube joint, or the like, is covered by a fitting constructed as a split hose provided along one edge with a rail made of metal or a strong synthetic; a similar rail element or an integral fastening element is provided on the other edge and secured to the first rail by welding, adhesive bonding, or soldering in order to obtain a joint which resists tension and compression. The hose has been laterally slipped onto and over the cable splice or tube joint and, after the split joint has been sealed (or concurrently therewith), the hose is heat-shrunk. Various rail configurations are shown; a method of making the hose is explained.

Longitudinally divided hose-like filling

A communications cable in which optical waveguides partially fill the inner cross section of a corrugated metallic tubular member and form therein an undulatory configuration extending in the axial direction; thus providing for any given section of cable a length associated with the optical wavesguides that is greater than the length of the corresponding section of the tubular member of such section of communications cable.
