A hand-carried taping machine for taping an elongated object is disclosed. The machine includes a powered gear set operably coupled to a body and powered by a drive system. An applicator head includes a substantially C-shaped gear in meshing engagement with the powered gear set such that the substantially C-shaped gear rotates about an application axis under control of the drive system, and a tape reel mount for rotatably mounting a reel of tape on the substantially C-shaped gear for rotation about the application axis and application of the tape to the elongated object. A non-powered guide system operably couples to the body for guiding the applicator head along the elongated object with transient engagement with the elongated object such that the elongated object is maintained in a vicinity of the reel of tape.

The invention provides a system and method for creating a form. The method includes providing a graphical user interface including a plurality of selectable components and a design space; a creator selecting at least one of the selectable components and disposing each of the selected selectable components in the design space to generate a form layout; converting the form layout to data information; and saving the data information to a form file, the form file being output to a database over a network.

A computer-based method and system for tracking repairs of different types of components. The repair tracking system receives repair orders identifying components of customers that need repair. After a repair order is received, an engineer uses the repair tracking system to assign a repair plan to the repair order. When a repair technician receives a component or subcomponent of a repair order, the repair technician uses the repair tracking system to identify the steps that need to be performed next. After the repair of the component is complete, the repair technician uses the repair tracking system to indicate the completion and to determine where to send the component so that the next step in the repair plan can be performed.

Methods and systems for generating a quality enhancement project report. In one embodiment, the methods and systems generate a report of a Six Sigma quality enhancement project directed to a selected process. The project report in this embodiment includes a starting process capability, an ending process capability, a confidence level for the process capabilities, a performance chart that graphically depicts a process improvement and economic data corresponding to the overall cost savings that should result from implementing the process improvement. In one embodiment, a user automatically generates a project report by entering basic project information into various fields on a computer-implemented form displayed on a computer screen. This basic information can include starting process performance data, ending process performance data, and economic data such as labor reductions and implementation costs. After the user has entered this information, process parameters that characterize the project results are automatically generated on the computer-implemented form.
