A computing device may be disposed in a command center positioned remotely from each test cell of a plurality of test cells of a testing facility. The computing device may include a visual display disposed in the command center and may include a network transceiver configured to receive monitored parameters of a test object disposed in each test cell. The computing device may include a command center module in communication with, at least, the network transceiver and the visual display. The command center module may be configured to execute instructions for: presenting, via the visual display, tests associated with the test object; receiving the monitored parameters of the test object; presenting, via the visual display, tasks associated with the tests; selectively assigning the tasks to a staff member; and communicating the assigned task to the staff member for performing the assigned task associated with the test object.

An engine system is disclosed. The engine system may have an engine. The engine system may also have a sensor configured to generate a sensor signal indicative of an amount of power generated by the engine and a speed sensor configured to generate a speed signal indicative of a speed of the engine. The engine system may also have a controller configured to receive the sensor signal and the speed signal. The controller may also be configured to generate an operating histogram based on the sensor signal and the speed signal. Further the controller may be configured to receive modal points for the engine, the modal points having associated emissions limits. The controller may also be configured to generate a calibration parameter set for the operating histogram based on the weights. In addition, the controller may be configured to apply the calibration parameter set to the engine.

A temperature control system is provided for use with a hybrid engine. The system includes a controller configured to receive a signal representative of a temperature associated with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst configured to receive an exhaust gas stream produced by a hybrid engine. The controller is also configured to transmit a first signal to a generator operably coupled to a battery and the hybrid engine, and transmit a second signal to a heater configured to heat the SCR catalyst, wherein the first and second signals are configured to regulate the temperature associated with the SCR catalyst.

An exhaust system for use with an engine is disclosed. The exhaust system may have a first treatment device situated to receive a flow of exhaust and convert a first constituent of the exhaust to a second constituent, and a second treatment device located downstream of the first treatment device to reduce the first and second constituents. The exhaust system may also have a sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of one of a temperature and an oxygen concentration of the exhaust, and a controller in communication with the sensor. The controller may be configured to vary the other of the temperature and the oxygen concentration based on the signal such that a desired amount of the first constituent is converted to the second constituent by the first treatment device prior to reduction by the second treatment device.

An exhaust system for an engine is disclosed. The exhaust system may have a NOx reducer located to receive exhaust from the engine, and a bypass circuit configured to selectively pass supercharged air to the NOx reducer. The exhaust system may also have a valve disposed within the bypass circuit to regulate the flow of supercharged air, and a controller in communication with the valve. The controller may be configured to move the valve to pass the supercharged air and cool the exhaust received by the NOx reducer. The controller may also be configured to move the valve to reduce the passing of the supercharged air and remove sulfur compounds from the NOx reducer.

A method for treating a flow of exhaust from an engine includes injecting reductant into the flow of exhaust with an injector disposed upstream from a catalytic device. The injector and the catalytic device are disposed in an exhaust system for the engine. The method also includes passing the flow of exhaust through the catalytic device, sensing a characteristic of at least one of the exhaust system and the engine, monitoring the sensed characteristic to recognize a condition associated with a formation of a decomposition material formed from the reductant, and controlling an operation of at least one of the engine and the exhaust system to increase a temperature in the exhaust system in response to the recognized condition.

A valve actuation system for a combustion engine is provided. The valve actuation system may have an engine valve movable between first and second spaced apart end positions. The valve actuation system may also have a first cam element mechanically coupled to move the engine valve, and a first hydraulic slave piston operatively connected to the engine valve to move the engine valve independent of movement of the first cam element. The valve actuation system may further have a high pressure rail fluidly connected to the first hydraulic piston, and a control valve disposed between the high pressure rail and the first hydraulic piston to regulate movement of the engine valve.

An exhaust treatment system for an engine is disclosed and may have an air induction circuit, an exhaust circuit, and an exhaust recirculation circuit. The air induction circuit may be configured to direct air into the engine. The exhaust circuit may be configured to direct exhaust from the engine and include a turbine driven by the exhaust, a particulate filter disposed in series with and downstream of the turbine, and a catalytic device disposed in series with and downstream of the particulate filter. The exhaust recirculation circuit may be configured to selectively redirect at least some of the exhaust from between the particulate filter and the catalytic device to the air induction circuit. The catalytic device is selected to create backpressure within the exhaust circuit sufficient to ensure that, under normal engine operating conditions above low idle, exhaust can flow into the air induction circuit without throttling of the air.

A control system for an engine having a combustion chamber is disclosed. The control system has a first sensor, a second sensor, and a third sensor. The first sensor generates a signal indicative of ambient air pressure. The second sensor generates a signal indicative of the pressure of air entering the combustion chamber. The third sensor generates a signal indicative of a speed of the engine. The control system also has a controller configured to reference a first map to determine a first fuel limit value based on the pressure of air entering the combustion chamber and the speed of the engine, reference a second map to determine a second fuel limit value based on the pressure of air entering the combustion chamber and the speed of the engine, and determine a third fuel limit value based on the first and second fuel limit values and the ambient air pressure.
