An electronic intermediate module for acquiring data from at least one peripheral unit, and for transmitting the acquired data to a position measuring device, the electronic intermediate module including a data acquisition interface for a data transmission connection which is designed for transmitting first data from the peripheral unit in a direction toward the electronic intermediate module. The electronic intermediate module further including a communications interface for a communications connection, wherein the communications connection is designed for transmitting second data from the intermediate module to the position measuring device.

A drive unit includes a housing and a drive shaft, in particular a spindle. The housing has a bearing which rotatably supports the drive shaft which is axially braced with the bearing by means of a clamping element. A measuring indication is arranged on the clamping element and is scanned by a sensing element.

Drive unit for determining a rotation position and/or rotation speed of a drive shaft

In a drive, a position and/or a speed of the drive are detected by a drive sensor. After being digitized by a feedback unit arranged on or in the drive, the position and/or the speed of the drive are transmitted to a superordinate drive control unit. At least one additional measurement quantity is detected on or in the drive by an additional sensor. The at least one additional measurement quantity is also digitized by the feedback unit before being transmitted to the superordinate drive control unit.
