In embodiments of the invention, there is provided an external fixation system comprising a first plate and a second plate and connectors therebetween. Some or all of the connectors may be adjustable in length or angular position or both. Angular adjustment may comprise a fixed amount of friction and an adjustable amount of friction, and the permitted angular deflection can vary around the perimeter of the angular joint. An adjustable-length connector may comprise a tiltable nut that can either engage or not engage a threaded rod to provide both coarse adjustment and fine adjustment. Tactile or audible feedback may be provided. Other accessories may include: provisional alignment clamps to position parts of the patient's body; a K-wire alignment guide; a K-wire support post; a universal fixation bolt; a plurality of half-pins that can be used with a common support post or block; and a resilient retention device.

External fixation system

An embodiment of a medicament training system configured to provide instructions for using a medicament device to a user in a sequence of steps is provided. The medicament training system includes including a medicament training container, a medicament device, wherein the medicament training container communicatingly connects to the medicament device, a signal output component associated with the medicament training container, and circuitry associated with the medicament training container configured so as to control a provision of the instructions to the user in the sequence of steps.

Smart packaging and display system

An adhesive lifting mechanism for retrieving retractable material from an underlying surface includes a housing having a retrieval opening. A tape spool, as well as applicator and, retrieval rollers, are mounted within the housing. The rollers have circumferential engagement surfaces that protrude through and outwardly from the retrieval opening. The rollers are engaged by successive segments of tape extending from the supply spool and across the retrieval opening. Each roller is positioned in the housing for being driven rotatably across an underlying surface with the peripheries of the respective rollers simultaneously bearing against the underlying surface such that a first segment of tape lifts extractable matter from the underlying surface and is retrieved into the housing. A fresh, second segment of tape from the supply spool is then pulled across the opening and peripherally engaged with the applicator roller.
