Inductive heating systems and method of controlling the same to reduce biological carryover are disclosed herein. An example system includes an induction heater including a tank circuit, the tank circuit including a work coil and a sense coil. The sense coil is to detect a magnetic field generated by the work coil and to output signals in response to the detection. The example system includes a controller to cause the tank circuit to oscillate at a resonant frequency in response to the signals and a power drive unit in communication with the controller and the induction heater. The power drive unit is to adjust power provided to the induction heater in response to the controller driving the tank circuit to oscillate at the resonant frequency.

Inductive heating systems and methods of controlling the same to reduce biological carryover

Systems, apparatus, and related methods for evaluating biological sample integrity are disclosed herein. An example method includes scanning a sample container having a sample disposed therein to generate signal data including a first signal portion and a second signal portion. The example method includes detecting if the sample container includes a label attached to a surface of the sample container based on the second signal portion. If the sample container includes a label, the example method includes applying an adjustment factor to the second signal portion to create adjusted signal data. The example method includes determining a property of the sample based on one or more of the first signal portion or the adjusted signal data.

Systems, apparatus, and related methods for evaluating biological sample integrity

Inductive heating systems and method of controlling the same to reduce biological carryover are disclosed herein. An example system includes an induction heater including a tank circuit. The example system includes a controller to drive the tank circuit to selectively oscillate at a resonant frequency for the tank circuit to inductively heat a work piece disposed proximate to the tank circuit.

Liquid level sensing apparatus and related methods are disclosed. An example method includes moving a cannula to pierce a seal of a container to provide access to a liquid in a cavity of the container; moving a probe through a passageway of the cannula and into the cavity of the container; and when the probe is at least partially positioned in the cannula: providing a first signal to the probe to cause the probe to emit a first electrical field; and providing a second signal to the cannula to cause the cannula to emit a second electrical field.

Liquid level sensing apparatus and related methods

Liquid level sensing apparatus are disclosed. An example liquid level sensing apparatus includes a cannula defining a body having a tip and an access channel. The tip to pierce a container, where the cannula is to be at least partially positioned in the container when the tip pierces the container. A probe is to be positioned in the access channel. A signal source is to electrically energize the probe and the cannula to cause the probe to emit a first signal and cause the cannula to emit a second signal.

An audio player comprises a means of dynamically sensing the rate of repetitive motion of the user, a means for storing digital music files, a means for retrieving and dynamically playing at least one of said music files at a rate approximately equal to the sensed rate of repetitive motion of the user, and a means for dynamically calculating and displaying information and/or statistics regarding at least one of the music file and the user. Such a device can play music, or other audio content with a repetitive beat, in substantial synchrony with the repetitive motion of the user. The device also allows the user to dynamically choose or change the music file playing. The device may detect, calculate, and display to the user various information.
