A computer-controlled injector, including a housing arranged along a longitudinal axis and configured to receive a cassette assembly, containing a medicament cartridge; the housing includes a cassette assembly receiving volume and a cassette assembly insertion and removal opening communicating with the cassette assembly receiving volume; at least one locking element for locking the cassette assembly with respect to the housing upon axial insertion of the cassette assembly into the housing; and an injection drive mechanism including a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston, forming part of the medicament cartridge, for injecting a medicament, the computer-controlled motor also being operative for operating the at least one locking element for releasing the cassette assembly from the housing.

Multiple use computerized injector

An electronic automatic injection device including a housing configured to receive an injection module containing a material to be injected, an electric motor having a rotary drive output, at least one forward driving spring and a multifunctional electric motor driven drive assembly responsive to the rotary drive output of the electric motor and being operative in a first mode of operation, when the injection module includes a prefilled syringe, to enable the at least one forward driving spring to displace the prefilled syringe in a forward direction and in a second mode of operation, when the injection module includes a needleless cartridge, to eject the injectable liquid from the prefilled syringe through a needle.

Electronic auto-injection device

A computer-controlled injector for use with a medicament cartridge and including a housing having a medicament cartridge receiving volume and a medicament cartridge insertion and removal opening communicating with the medicament cartridge receiving volume; a pivot mount element mounted onto the housing for selectably enabling access to the medicament cartridge receiving volume via the opening; a mechanical latch selectably locking the pivot mount element in a closed operative orientation; and an injection drive mechanism including a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston, forming part of the medicament cartridge, for injecting a medicament, the computer-controlled motor also being operative for operating the mechanical latch.
