A quantum mechanical circuit includes a substrate; a first electrical conductor and a second electrical conductor provided on the substrate and spaced apart to provide a gap therebetween; and a third electrical conductor to electrically connect the first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor. The third electrical conductor is a poor thermal conductor.

Slidable assemblies are provided which include a support, a slidable assembly, and a spring-clip element. The slidable assembly, which includes a slide member, is coupled to the support to slide along the support between a first position and a second position. The spring-clip element is associated with the support, and receives the slide member of the slidable assembly. The slide member translates within the spring-clip element as the slidable assembly is slid between the first position and the second position, and is retained by the spring-clip element in position when the slidable assembly is slid to the second position to hold the slidable assembly and restrain the slidable assembly from sliding along the support to the first position.

Rack-mountable assemblies are provided which include a structure to be mounted to a frame of an electronics rack, and a spring-hinged mounting bracket associated with and extending from a side of the structure to facilitate mounting the structure to the frame of the electronics rack. The spring-hinged mounting bracket facilitates insertion of the structure into the frame by pivoting inward towards the side of the structure upon the spring-hinged mounting bracket encountering an obstruction as the rack-mountable assembly is positioned within the frame for mounting to the frame.

Rack-mountable assemblies are provided which include a cover configured to fixedly mount to a frame of an electronics rack, and a drawer configured to slidably mount to the frame adjacent to the cover to slide relative to the cover. When operatively mounted to the frame, the cover and drawer together define an enclosure for one or more electronic components. The assembly further includes an electromagnetic shielding structure to provide, at least in part, electromagnetic shielding at a gap between the cover and drawer when operatively positioned within the electronics rack. The electromagnetic shielding structure includes an electromagnetic shielding plate which overlies, at least in part, the gap between the cover and the drawer, and which self-adjusts with sliding of the drawer into the electronics rack to facilitate providing the electromagnetic shielding at the gap between the cover and the drawer.

Rack-mountable assembly with electromagnetic shielding structure(s)

A divider can be installed within an electronic equipment rack drawer to enhance the structural strength of the drawer. The divider can include two members, formed from plates of material, each member having a rectangular center section with a height spanning a distance between a top plate and an upper base plate of an electronic equipment rack drawer. The two members can each have a header and a footer extending outwardly from the center section. The headers can be attached to the top plate, and the footers can be attached to the upper base plate of the electronic equipment rack drawer. The center sections of the two members can be fastened, in an adjacent, coplanar orientation to each other.

Electronic equipment divider assembly

A system includes an equipment case configured to hold equipment, a strengthening bracket, and one or more releasable couplers physically coupled to the equipment case and the strengthening bracket. The releasable couplers may be configured to release the strengthening bracket from the equipment case without requiring a tool. In some embodiments, the strengthening bracket comprises a first end and a second end, and one of the releasable couplers are coupled to each end of the strengthening bracket. In some embodiments, the releasable couplers each comprise a flexing member and a protrusion member coupled to the flexing member and the first end and the second end of the strengthening bracket each comprise a slot for receiving the protrusion member of a corresponding coupling member. A corresponding method includes coupling the strengthening bracket to the equipment case with the at least one releasable coupler.

Disclosed herein is a module cooling system, comprising, a module in operable communication with a circuit board, a stiffener abutting the circuit board, a heatsink abutting the module, a first biasing member biasing the heatsink towards the module, a plurality of non-influencing fasteners positionally fixing the heatsink, and a second biasing member biasing the circuit board and module towards the heatsink. Further disclosed herein is a method of mounting a module cooling system, comprising, connecting electrically a module to a circuit board, abutting a stiffener to the circuit board, abutting a heatsink to the module, biasing with a biasing member the heatsink in a direction towards the module, fixing the heatsink with non-influencing fasteners, and biasing with a second biasing member the circuit board and module towards the heatsink.

System and method for cooling a module

A low profile auto docking multi-battery pack system and an in place service PCI storage controller card system with redundant cache and concurrently maintainable redundant battery backup are provided. A first battery and a second battery are disposed in line to provide a low profile battery pack. The first battery and second battery are shrink-wrapped together inside a frame and are slideably removable through an opening in a PCI tailstock and are hot swappable. The PCI storage controller card system is defined by a two card assembly that includes an internal connector, such as a SCSI connector to connect the two cards together.

A printed circuit board capable of receiving an on-board battery from multiple orientations is disclosed. The movement of the on-board battery on the printed circuit board is directed via one or more guide tabs on the on-board battery that fit within one or more guide rails attached to the printed circuit board. A cam lever is attached to the on-board battery and enables a user to utilize mechanical advantage to install and/or remove the on-board battery on the printed circuit board. A pull tab attached to the on-board battery provides additional surface area to distribute the force when a user removes the on-board battery. The on-board battery can be installed and/or removed orthogonally and/or horizontally to the printed circuit board during the operation of the printed circuit board.

Printed circuit board capable of receiving an on-board battery from multiple orientations

An assembly for use in providing EMI shielding for a circuit card. The assembly comprises a circuit card; a fastener; and, a shielding apparatus. The shielding apparatus comprises: a body providing EMI shielding and includes an attaching portion extending therefrom, wherein the attaching portion has a segment at a proximal end portion thereof which blocks an opening in the body for controlling EMI leakage and positions the attaching portion so that a fastener can fasten the attaching portion to a circuit card such that a first fastener end portion is engageable in juxtaposed relationship with a first card surface and a second fastener end portion terminates so as not to extend generally beyond a predetermined distance from a second card surface of the card.

Apparatus, assembly and system for enhancing EMI shielding

A parallel-plugged planar sandwich arrangement for a computer system includes a first printed circuit board having a first electrical connector on a surface thereof, and a second printed circuit board having a second electrical connector on a surface thereof. The second electrical connector is electrically mated to the first electrical connector, to electrically couple the first printed circuit board to the second printed circuit board. A stiffener panel is disposed between the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board. A disengagement mechanism is attached to the panel and includes a cam assembly that has a cam rotatable about an axis of rotation, a cam pin projecting out from opposite sides of the cam and being coaxial with the axis of rotation, and a torsional helical spring disposed around the cam pin for automatically rotating the cam in a first direction. A handle is attached to the cam. When the handle is pulled, the cam is rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction so that the cam is caused to push against the first printed circuit board, thereby removing the first electrical connector from engagement with the second electrical connector while moving the first printed circuit board in a direction away from the second printed circuit board.
