The described rotary cutting tool comprises a tool body extending along a rotational axis and a cutting insert comprising at least one cutting edge. The tool body is mounted in a mounting pocket delimited by two clamping fingers. A clamping finger bore is provided on each of the clamping fingers. The cutting insert also has a through bore. A holding element is arranged in the clamping finger bores and in the through bore to couple the cutting insert to the tool body. A section of the holding element located within the through bore is crowned. A holding element for such a rotary cutting tool is also presented.

A cutting tool includes a base body and a cutting head at least partially disposed within a modular pocket of the base body. The modular pocket is formed by at least one wall section removably attached to the base body. In one variation, a non-removable portion of the base body also forms part of the modular pocket. In another variation, the modular pocket is formed by two removable wall sections on opposite sides of the modular pocket. In yet another variation, the removable wall sections include a clamping portion to exert a downward force on the cutting head to enable mounting the cutting head in the modular pocket using an interference fit.

A modular drill including a shank having a shank bore therein, a guide pin tip disposed in the shank bore, a cutting tip, and a connection shaft coupled to the cutting tip, the connection shaft having a connection shaft sidewall and a guide path therein for guiding the guide pin tip therethrough while the connection shaft moves through the shank bore.

A rotary cutting tool comprises a tool body having an axis of rotation (L) and a cylindrical shank, which comprises at least one locking groove via which the cutting tool can be axially locked in a tool holder. The locking groove has an axial groove, which extends from an axial end on the receiving side in axial direction (A) to an axial stop, and a circumferential groove, which is laterally adjacent to the axial groove and extends away from the axial stop and the axial groove in circumferential direction (U) toward a rotation stop. The circumferential groove comprises a first end face and a second end face opposite to said first end face, both of which extend in a plane that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation (L). A tool assembly having such a rotary cutting tool and a tool holder having a cylindrical tool receptacle for the cutting tool is provided as well.

The rotary tool has two coupling parts, namely a carrier and a cutting head having a front end face. The carrier has a pin seat into which a coupling pin of the cutting head is inserted. Effective stop faces are formed on the pin seat and on the coupling pin in the axial direction for axial pull-out protection. For a design that is as simple as possible, in particular in terms of grinding, a side face adjoins a respective stop face of the coupling pin and, when viewed in the axial direction, freely extends to the end face. In particular, the side face forms a torque face. For reliable clamping attachment, in particular with larger nominal diameters (D), a separating slot is made in the carrier and a clamping screw is inserted into it, both of which serve to fix the cutting head in the pin seat.

A reamer has a shank made of steel and a cutting body made of a harder material, wherein the cutting body forms the outer circumference of the reamer in the region of the workpiece side end and has all the cutting ribs.

Reamer

The invention relates to a hydraulic expansion chuck having an end on the tool side; and an end on the machine side. A shaft is disposed on the end on the machine side for clamping the expansion chuck in a machine tool. An expanding bushing is disposed on the end on the tool side and surrounded by a pressure chamber and can be radially deformed for clamping a tool under the action of a pressure medium received in the pressure chamber.

A drilling tool with: a shaft; a seat at one end of the shaft; a drill bit, which is arranged on the seat; and a clamping section, which is provided on the shaft and can interact with the drill bit. Also provided is a tensioning screw, which is screwed into the shaft and comprises an expanding section as well as a contact section. The expanding section interacts with the clamping section, and the contact section interacts with the drill bit.

A machining tool includes a holder and a cutting head which can be screwed into the holder. The cutting head includes a cutting-edge region and a coupling region. The coupling region includes a flat contact area facing the holder, a cylindrical thread carrier with an external thread adjoining the flat contact area, and a clamping cone adjoining the thread carrier. The holder includes a planar counter-contact area disposed adjacent the flat contact area of the coupling region, a cylindrical internal thread adjoining the planar counter-contact area, and a hollow-conical cone contact area next to the internal thread.

A coolant distributor for use with a cutting head of a machine tool that is adapted to be rotated about a rotational axis. The coolant distributor comprises a generally cylindrical body adapted to be coupled to the cutting head about the rotational axis, the generally cylindrical body having a first end and an opposite second end, the first end being disposed adjacent the cutting head when the generally cylindrical body is coupled to the cutting head. At least one feed passage is formed in the generally cylindrical body, the feed passage having a first end disposed proximate the first end of the generally cylindrical body and a second end disposed proximate the second end of the generally cylindrical body. A deflecting element is disposed in the feed passage proximate the second end of the feed passage. An outflow passage is connected to the feed passage and disposed obliquely to the rotational axis.
