The braking system associated with at least one wheel or at least one wheelset includes at least one brake disc for generating a braking force in response to at least one brake signal, at least one brake lining interacting with the brake disc and a brake caliper connected to the brake lining and a brake housing and a securing bracket. The brake caliper is mounted together with a brake housing in at least one first bearing point and a second bearing point, the second bearing point is at a distance from the first bearing point at a predefined bearing distance, a first sensor for providing a first measuring signal and a second sensor for providing a second measuring signal are arranged on the brake housing or between the housing and the bracket.

Method and device for determining a braking torque on a braking system for a rail vehicle

A control device for a brake system of a rail vehicle, wherein the brake system includes a friction bracket device which is dependent on frictional engagement. The control device determines a braking effect applied during a braking process on the basis of a brake pressure or brake current and at least one further parameter. Also disclosed are a brake system having such a control device and a method for determining a braking effect.

A brake disc cover for a brake disc of a disc brake is provided, which is disposed on a component of a vehicle that is rotationally fixed during travel and which encloses at least one section of a circumferential edge of the brake disc preferably in a trough-like fashion. Two side wall areas are located on axial side sections of the brake disc to be covered that are directly opposite each other, wherein the side wall areas cover at least a partial area of the axial sides of the brake disc. A base wall area connects the side wall areas, which base wall area covers the circumferential edge of the brake disc. The side wall areas are oriented at an angle to each other such that the distance between the two side wall areas decreases radially from the inner circumferential edge of the brake disc cover. The brake disc cover has a surface contour that does not follow mathematical symmetry.
