A motor vehicle headlamp having a first reflection module, including a first reflector, a first group of LED chips and a second group of LED chips, having a second reflection module, which comprises a second reflector, a third group of LED chips and a fourth group of LED chips, and having a control circuit, which is configured to control the current flow through the light emitting diodes, and which is configured to activate the LED chips of the first group together with the LED chips of the fourth group, wherein the LED chips of the second group and the LED chips of the third group are deactivated. The control circuit activates the LED chips of the second group together with the LED chips of the third group, wherein the LED chips of the first group and the LED chips of the fourth group are deactivated.

Motor vehicle headlamp having a two-chamber reflection system

A light module () for lighting equipment () of a motor vehicle comprises a plurality of semiconductor light sources () for emitting light, a plurality of reflection areas () for reflecting the light and assigned to separate reflector-element sections (), and a plate-shaped separation element () onto which the reflector-element sections () are movably fixed separate from one another, arranged between the reflection areas (), and onto which the light sources () are mounted such that an emitting direction of the light sources () is substantially perpendicular to an optical axis of the light module (). The reflector-element sections () are adjusted by moving the reflector-element sections () in relation to the light sources ().

Light module for a motor vehicle

The present invention relates to a light module () for an illumination device, in particular for a headlight (), of a motor vehicle. The light module () comprises at least one light source () for emitting light beams, at least one primary optical unit () for concentrating the emitted light beams, a diaphragm arrangement () in the beam path of the concentrated light beams, and at least one secondary optical unit () for imaging the light beams that have traveled past the diaphragm arrangement () onto a roadway in front of the motor vehicle in order to generate a desired light distribution. There is formed in the diaphragm arrangement () at least one opening () and/or cutout to which is assigned an optically active element (), which deflects or attenuates at least a portion of the light beams passing through the opening () and/or cutout.

The invention concerns vehicle headlights with two light functions, comprising a reflector () and a two-filament bulb (), whose first spiral-wound filament (') generates a first light function and whose second spiral-wound filament (&#x2033;) generates a second light function, each light function being associated with a region (&#x2033;) of the reflector (), wherein the second spiral-wound filament (&#x2033;) cooperates with a covering cap () which shields a portion of the light for the light function associated with this spiral-wound filament, which would otherwise impinge on the region (&#x2032;) of the reflector () which is associated with the first light function, wherein the second spiral-wound filament (&#x2033;) generates a turning and/or curve light and the regions (&#x2033;) of the reflector () are separated by a separating line () which extends in a segment of the reflector at an angle of between &#xb1;0 and 35&#xb0;, in particular &#xb1;15 and 35&#xb0;, with respect to the vertical line.

A headlight for a motor vehicle includes a clear, front cover plate (), at least one light source (), and at least one reflector () associated with the light source (). A beam shield () for avoidance of glare produced by headlights of oncoming vehicles is provided, with the beam shield () being disposed between the light source () and the cover plate (). The headlight has a reflector ( ) in which a light source ( ) is mounted. The reflector ( ) has a region ( ), from which light is reflected so that it falls on the pot-shaped region ( ). The pot-shaped region has openings ( ) through which a portion of the light falling on this light ray stop ( ) can pass into the pot-shaped region ( ). Cover elements ( ) are associated with these openings which prevent another part of the light from the light source in the pot-shaped region from passing out through the openings. They also reflect some of the light falling on the pot-shaped region near the openings through the openings and into the pot-shaped region. This device at least partially prevents light that falls on the pot-shaped region from being reflected as scattered light and forming an annoying glare.
