A gas bag module has a gas bag whose wall, in a first state of the gas bag, has at least one pleat that is formed in that opposite sections of the wall lie against each other. The gas bag module further has a holder that holds the opposite sections together and affixes the pleat. The holder can be actively released in response to a signal, as a result of which the gas bag reaches a second state in which the pleat is opened.

A gas bag module () for a vehicle occupant restraint device includes a gas generator () for filling a gas bag (), and a gas conduit device arranged inside the module. The gas conduit device forces a predetermined, uniform flow direction at least on a portion of the gas emerging from the gas generator ().

A gas bag module includes a gas bag, a gas generator, a first and a second fastening element, a section of the gas bag being fastened between the first and the second fastening elements, and a discharge opening for diverting gas generated by the gas generator and introduced into the gas bag. The discharge opening can be brought from a closed state into an opened state and comprises at least one opening in the first and in the second fastening elements. A section of the gas bag extends over the discharge opening in the closed state and the gas bag is exposed towards an interior of the gas bag in a region of the discharge opening. Means are provided which partially destroy the gas bag in the region of the discharge opening, in order to uncover the discharge opening.

A gas bag module () includes a gas bag (), the gas bag having a front wall () facing an occupant () in an inflated state of said gas bag () and being engaged by a first end () of a destructible retaining element (), the retaining element () at least partially preventing an unhindered motion of the front wall () when the gas bag () is inflated. The gas bag module further includes a gas generator () for filling the gas bag (), the gas generator () having a first discharge section () for a through flow of a first quantity of gas. The gas generator () has a separate, second discharge section (), which can have a second quantity of gas flow through it in a way that is selectively independent of a release of the first quantity of gas or has a time delay with respect to the release of the first quantity of gas, the second quantity of gas being hot gas, which flows to the retaining element () through the second discharge section () so as to cause a destruction of the retaining element ().

A gas bag module has several detent hooks by which it can be fastened to a component which is fixed to a vehicle, and a sheet metal carrier plate with a substantially flat base section. The detent hooks are connected in one piece with the base section and project therefrom.

A gas bag module comprising a gas generator () and a module housing (). The gas generator () has a generator flange (), which is provided with first hook-shaped fastening elements () of sheet metal for fastening the gas bag module () to a steering wheel (). The generator flange further has second fastening elements (&#x2033;) for fastening the gas generator () to the module housing ().

A Gas bag module for use in a vehicle occupant restraint device has a plastic generator support. On the generator support a printed circuit is formed by metal deposition. For activating an electrical function element, the printed circuit cooperates with a switching element that is arranged on a section of the generator support.

A gas bag module comprises a module housing () and a covering cap (), a side wall () being provided on at least one of the module housing () and the covering cap (). An outer wall () of the covering cap defines a front side of the module and an outer wall () of the module housing () defines a rear side of the module, whereby an outlet direction (R) is given that runs from the rear side to the front side of the module. The module housing () has first fastening elements () and the covering cap () has second fastening elements () which can be brought into engagement with the first fastening elements. The first and second fastening elements () are arranged and aligned with respect to the side wall () such that the engagement of the first and second fastening elements (), which prevents an uncoupling of the covering cap () and of the module housing () in a gas bag outlet direction (R), comes about through a movement of the fastening elements () relative to each other in a direction (E) that runs along the side wall () and transversely to the outlet direction (R).

An airbag module for installation into a steering wheel including a gas generator carrier () and a covering cap () which are connected with each other by a snap connection (). The gas generator carrier () has first projections () and the covering cap () has second projections () each associated to one of the first projections (). One of the first projections () of the gas generator carrier () and an associated one of the second projections () of the covering cap () form a common extension () which receives a first end () of a helical spring (). There is further proposed an assembly of a steering wheel () and such airbag module ().

An airbag module comprising a gas generator support is distinguished in that arranged on the gas generator support () is a plate spring () which comprises a continuous ring-shaped inner section () and several arms (). The arms each have a first end () formed on the inner section () and a second, free end () which is bent away axially with respect to a central axis () of the plate spring (). The arms () are elastically deformable under axial pressure. There is further proposed an assembly comprised of a steering wheel and such airbag module.
