An exhaust gas system for a motor vehicle may include an exhaust gas aftertreatment device communicating fluidically with an exhaust gas evaporation device. The exhaust gas aftertreatment device and the exhaust gas evaporation device may be arranged in one or more housings. A connecting line may be provided to fluidically connect the exhaust gas aftertreatment device to the exhaust gas evaporation device. The connecting line may include a fluid inlet connected to the exhaust gas aftertreatment device and a fluid outlet connected to the exhaust gas evaporation device. An evaporation bypass line may branch off from the connection line at a branching-off point. A valve apparatus may be arranged in at least the connecting line and may be adjustable between a first position to fluidly connect the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet, and a second position to fluidly connect the fluid inlet to the evaporator bypass line.

Exhaust gas system for a motor vehicle

The application relates to a system for using the waste heat of an internal combustion engine through the Clausius-Rankine cycle. Such system prevents operating medium from the Clausius-Rankine cycle from leaking into combustion air or exhaust air. The system has a first flow channel formed by at least one first limiting component and a second flow channel formed by at least one second limiting component. The system has a fluid-conducting connection to the surroundings or to a receiving chamber from the first limiting component and preferably from the second limiting component, so that in the event of a leak the operating medium is conducted into the surroundings or into the receiving chamber.

System for using the waste heat of an internal combustion engine

A heat exchanger may include a gas conduit flowable through by a predetermined gas and a heat conduit flowable through by a predetermined fluid compound working fluid. The heat conduit may be in thermal communication with the gas conduit. The heat exchanger may include a first section having a first section length, a second section having a second section length, and a third section having a third section length. The gas conduit may span, in a direction of flow of the gas, the first section, the second section, and the third section. The heat conduit may span, in a direction of flow of the working fluid, the third section, the first section, and the second section. The first section may include a gas inlet and the third section may include a working fluid inlet and a gas outlet. The section may include a working fluid outlet.

A device for the exchange of heat between a first and a second medium with pairs of trays stacked one on top of the other in a stacking direction is provided, wherein a first flow chamber that can be flowed through by a first medium is provided between the two trays of at least one pair of trays or several pairs of trays and a second flow chamber that can be flowed through by a second medium is provided between two pairs of trays adjacent to one another, wherein the first flow chamber has first flow path with flow path sections that can be flowed through consecutively in opposite directions for the first medium, which are separated from one another by a division wall arranged between the at least two trays of the at least one pair of trays, and wherein the second flow chamber has a second flow path for the second medium.

A system for utilizing waste heat of an internal combustion engine via the Clausius-Rankine cycle process is provided that includes a circuit with lines containing a working medium, an evaporator heat exchanger which serves for evaporating the liquid working medium using waste heat of the internal combustion engine and which has an inlet opening for conducting the working medium into a flow duct and an outlet opening for conducting the working medium out of the flow duct, and the flow duct is divided into a plurality of flow duct parts connected hydraulically in parallel, an expansion machine, a condenser for liquefying the vaporous working medium, a collecting and compensating vessel for the liquid working medium, it is sought to be able to change the working medium substantially completely from a liquid state of aggregation to a gaseous state of aggregation at an evaporator heat exchanger.

System for utilizing waste heat of an internal combustion engine

A heat exchanger, particularly an exhaust gas heat exchanger, for transferring heat in two stages between a first fluid and second and third fluids that have different temperatures includes a block for separately conducting the first and second and third fluids in a heat transferring manner. The block encompasses a number of ducts through which the first fluid can flow, a first chamber of a high-temperature part through which the second fluid can flow and which accommodates the ducts, a second chamber of a low-temperature part through which the third fluid flows and which accommodates the ducts, and a housing in which the first and second chamber as well as the ducts are arranged. The first chamber and the second chamber are separated from one another by a separation area that is mounted in a groove.

Heat exchanger, exhaust gas recirculation system, and use of a heat exchanger

A device for exhaust gas recirculation for a combustion engine is provided that includes an exhaust gas pipe configured to conduct exhaust gas and a channel configured to conduct air to the combustion engine. The exhaust gas pipe terminates in the channel, wherein the exhaust gas pipe, in an area of insertion in the channel exhaust, is in thermal exchange with a coolant from a coolant circuit.

Device for exhaust gas recirculation for a combustion engine

The invention relates to a heat exchanger with at least one duct, which can be flowed through by flowing medium from an inlet cross-section to an outlet cross-section, has an inside and outside, and which comprises, on the inside, structural elements for increasing the transfer of heat. The invention provides that the structural elements () are variably arranged and/or configured in the direction of flow (P) so that the duct (), on the inside, has a variable heat transfer that, in particular, increases in the direction of flow (P).

The invention relates to an exhaust-gas thermal conductor (), comprising a tube array with exhaust gas flowing therethrough and cooling medium flowing around the same. The tube array is welded to a tube base (), connected to the housing (). A heat exchanger, in particular an exhaust gas heat exchanger for a motor vehicle, has tubes through which a first fluid can flow and around which a second fluid can flow, and a headpiece. The headpiece includes a dual-walls structure in at least a part thereof and a distribution chamber that communicates with the tubes.

The invention relates to a coolant circuit for a motor vehicle having an engine and a radiator. The coolant circuit includes an exhaust gas heat exchanger and enables engine coolant coming from the radiator to be supplied directly to the exhaust gas heat exchanger. In a preferred embodiment, coolant coming from the radiator and/or from the engine can be selectively supplied to the exhaust gas heat exchanger via a changeover device.
